Airds Bay Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Having enjoyed the Wespark parkrun in Munich following the Euros Germany game, some of us are heading to the Danehy parkrun in Boston on the morning of the Haiti game. Anyone else going? Quote
Moniaive_Tom Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Hi pal, Yes! This was the one I was meaning to do.. I’m staying down near Fields Corner T station, but was meaning to get the train up there for Parkrun. One benefit of being aff the bev these days is I can get up for this kind of thing. 😀 Tom Quote
Airds Bay Posted June 6 Author Posted June 6 Yeah. I'm with my 17 year old son. He could drink legally in Germany, but he doesn't look 21, so I don't feel that I can get too lashed if he is on the cokes. Quote
Mike Ehrmantraut Posted June 7 Posted June 7 will be doing the Danehy park one the day after the morocco game Quote
Johnnyshaker Posted June 7 Posted June 7 There's 3 of us doing Jamiaca Pond the day after Morocco. Quote
AlfieMoon Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I fancy doing Jamaica Pond the morning of Haiti but don’t trust my chances of making it. Quote
McToot Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Danehy Park for us before Haiti and Jamaica Pond after Morocco. Did Brooklyn Bridge yesterday before the Bolivia game. Up there with the best parkrun for me. Incredible backdrop and nice and flat. Bloody hot yesterday though 🥵 Quote
JammyBiscuit Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Yep, planning to do Danehy Park before the Haiti game! Show the tartan army colours folks! Quote
omochreach Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I'm going to try and do Jamaica Pond before the Haiti game, possibly after Morocco, but might still be celebrating our 3-1 win and guaranteed qualification... Quote
PSJ84 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Just stumbled across this. Not one I’ll be doing — heading to Toronto between games — but figured it may be of interest. https://strava.app.link/zI48CNy2O3b Quote
MartinTartan Posted June 9 Posted June 9 All going well, we'll be heading to Danehy Park Run on Saturday 13th. Quote
Johnnyshaker Posted June 16 Posted June 16 How was Jamiaca Pond? I saw there was quite a few did it last weekend. Quote
Moniaive_Tom Posted June 16 Posted June 16 There must have been about 40 of us at Danehy Park. Good parkrun, friendly people as always. Planning on dragging myself out of bed for Jamaica Pond on Saturday morning, maybe only if we win or draw the night before though.. lol Quote
SortofScottishIThink Posted June 16 Posted June 16 As a suggestion, the run along the Charles River in downtown Boston is gorgeous. Both sides are completely protected wide pedestrian tracks (at least for 3-5 miles on each bank). Quote
PSJ84 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Second running along Charles River. Views from Longfellow Bridge and Memorial Drive were superb. Edited June 16 by PSJ84 Quote

I was at Jamaica Pond on Saturday, I’d say at least half the folk doing the run were Scottish. Everyone very friendly as you’d expect from a parkrun. I may or may not make it tomorrow depending on what happens tonight. Quote
