And after months of waiting, tracking players and discussing formations, suddenly everyone else you know is now starting to talk about it... How is your World Cup - life balance? Because by a week on Sunday morning it could all be curtains, knives out for Clarke, national melt down etc after signing a new deal. There’s so much riding on this game. I’m actually a bit sickened by the prices and 48 team tournament idea, 32 was perfect imo. Started getting the dreams about Scotland Haiti about a week ago (won’t tell you how they went) My main interest in football is the progress/preservation of the national team - if they don’t make a proper go of this tournament ill be fkin devastated, took me 6 months to get over the last euros (naturally getting drawn back in with those back to back wins against Croatia then Poland) Quote

There was a sizeable World Cup shop at LAX, World Cup billboards everywhere and Christian Pulisic is on the front cover of Time Magazine. I'm currently in Colorado. Agreed - was glad ours was a bit of a damp squib in all honesty. Setting yourself up for an almighty fall with that kinda stuff. Would be a rid neck. Hampden had the fireworks and noise and light shows back in November when we beat Denmark - that was the big dramatic send off. I think we've played it right since then in terms of balancing the media and supporter excitement with giving the players and staff the space to get themselves as properly prepared as possible. Quote

On normal away trips you usually see the same faces both in the press and actually on the trip itself There’ll be a few noses put out of joint and egos bruised that’s for certain!! Quote

I know around 10 folk that are going. Only 1 of them regularly attends Hampden.....I've probably been to more away games than the other nine have attended home games collectively! It's certainly a strange WC in that respect. A mixture of hardcore supporters, ex pats, middle class folk and your modern day insta w@nker. Quote

Find it cringy the let’s hear the Hampden roar announcement before games. it will net be heard again unless you ban Women and children. Do you actually want to see the same faces at away games? I think it should be age restricted. No one over 60 which rules me out. That’s how you bruise egos and put noses out of joint. Quote

Spent a few minutes just taking selfies and photos (I believe filming content is the proper term for those in the influencer game) They then had the cheek to ask myself and a couple of other folk if we’d take a photo of them, they got telt “aye nae bother, wait till half time though” they looked like somebody in front of them at the chippy got the last mince pie. They then went for something to eat. Reappeared at about 65 minutes and just took photos and videos before leaving early. All in all I reckon they were in their seats 20-25 minutes throughout the whole game They were obviously just there for the CR7 factor hoping to get hits and likes on Prick-Tock Quote

We can pretend that horrible experience of the first stage didn't actually happen and just think of it as a normal WC. C'mon Zaire. Not holding out much hope for them though. Even Scotland managed to put 2 past them. England should score at least 5 or 6. Who do they get next? Quote
