I don't know the truth of it but I was surprised Miller didn't get any minutes in the last friendlies. Quote

Retains possession and passes ball better than any of our other midfielders. The "Scottish-iniesta". Though given strength in squad we can adapt. Ferguson, McGinn, McTom is still a great midfield. Cant be afford to losing any more boys to injury... Quote

If he really wanted Miller, it wouldn't even be a debate. Irving appears to be a decent player but not anywhere near Scotland level, and I like Barron but he hardly got into a poor Rangers team Quote
