kristinaaa Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Hi tartan army! My name is Kristina, I'm a Fifer living stateside and wanted to share with you all some resources on places to stay for the world cup that arent totally extortionate. In the US there is a site called Listings Project. It's a newsletter. Every week on Wednesdays at 8am EST / 1pm GMT, they send an email out with a range of peoples apartments which are available for sublet on various dates. This is mostly known among locals, but knowing that so many fans have tickets and flights but nowhere to stay - I wanted to share this resource. Please follow instructions below for the best chance of securing a place in Boston or Miami. Step 1. Sign up for Listings Project via this website: https://www.listingsproject.com/ Step 2. Be online at 1pm GMT on Wednesdays, thats when new listings are live (they can be quite competitive!) Step 3. When viewing listings, select the city (Boston, Miami, New York) Step 4. Email as many listings as possible with (your name, your dates, a wee bit about you and your reasons for visiting, and that you can pay them a deposit to secure the space if you like it VERY IMPORTANT: - ALWAYS facetime the host ahead of time to see the space! - Even if they arent listing your dates, message them anyway and see if they'd be open to renting while you're there! I hope this helps someone. Good luck everyone! See you at the Haiti game 🙂 Quote
