Hertsscot Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Tony Yogane just signed for Aberdeen. Potentially a good signing. Quote
Hertsscot Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Rangers doing a fair bit of business, Ben Godfrey, Ivor Pandur and now Dan Neill. Must admit I'm not over excited and have got reservations about all three but hope for the best. Quote

I know someone who watches Hull regularly and thinks that Pandur is a good shot stopper but distribution could be better. I think bringing in players from the Championship and/or with Norwich/Everton links - raises a lot of alarm bells as we've been down that route before - and it's not worked out well. Quote
giblet Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Rangers in for Vanja Dragojevic, Partizan Belgrade. 20 year old captain. When Hibs played them last season, he was a class player, believe we made an enquiry and then retreated when we Iain Gordon got told the asking price! Quote

We really need to start offloading players. if we sign this Serbian boy we'll have him, Raskin, Diomande, Neil, Chukawani, Cifuentes, Aasgard, Bajrami, Cameron, and Lewis Ferguson all vying for 3 midfield slots..... Heard Derek Ferguson on Sportsound (?)saying that Lewis has common sense beyond his years and a firm plan on where he wants to play in the future. Said he couldn't see him coming back to the UK any time soon and that he wanted to stay in Europe. Apologies if i've missed any announcements to the contrary. Quote

dan cake Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Hibs sign former Scotland u21 player Azeem Abdulai, came through Celtic’s academy and played over 40 games for Leyton Orient last season. Most likely he’ll play as no6/8 for us, joins Jason Kerr and Callum Wright as Hibs new additions so far Quote

Och Aye Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Slattery away to Sheffield Wednesday Callum Ward just signed for QPR. Maswanhise, Watt and Just will be next out the door. What's the bloody point. The joys of supporting one of the diddy clubs I suppose. Another season another complete rebuild. European ties a couple of weeks away. Mmmmmm... wonder why the coefficient is so shite 🤔 Quote

He gives 100%, something that has been missing from our midfield and I think he has improved over the last couple of seasons. Too many midfielders at Ibrox at present - rumours that Barron is going. Singing only makes sense if Barron is leaving. Bringing in a very similar squad player for free whilst making a profit on Barron which can be used elsewhere in the team is good business. Celtic starting to make noises in the market now. Abit strange that some of the obvious signings werent signed up sooner. You would like to think that they would bring in replacements for guys like Hatate, Meida and at least one of the centre mids before the outgoings happen as they pretty much know they will be leaving. Devlin could be a good signing for Rangers - it might enable Raskin to play further forward. It's a shame for Barron that it never really worked at Ibrox but if the rumours linking him to Serie A clubs are true, and if Rangers get a fee for him, it could be all's well that ends well for both parties. DoonTheSlope Posted Saturday at 07:08 PM Posted Saturday at 07:08 PM Some business going down at Ibrox Devlin on a free could be deal of the window. He’s a detestable little cunt who’s photo leaving parkhead in May you’d never get tired of looking at but you’d love to have him in your team Quote

Shankland should prove to be a good signing but it’s one we should have made about 5 years ago. We’ve made numerous similar signings to Godfrey and Neil in recent years and more often than not they end in disappointment. The squad is bloated as it stands, especially in midfield where we have about 8 similar players and barely any creativity. As much as I’d be keen on Ferguson coming on, I don’t think he changes that.
