Thoughts so far;

Hirst is dung

Doak if he sorts the final ball out will be a top player

Curacao are not that bad which now slightly concerns me for Haiti

Calling Hirst dung when he has done more than Shankland in 20 minutes is very harsh IMO. He has been in good positions but been crowded by defenders.

shankland looks slow. Rangers have ruined him already.

Agree Hirst, Doak and Hickey have been the most positive so far, worrying is Mckenna V Chong.

Totally agree, Hirst is doing the dykes role better than dykes. He did well to get to that header and he got a lot of power on it

Shankland looks off it and after the season he had, I'm surprised he started

Or it’s not an official FIFA international window so clubs aren’t obliged to release their players for this game as it’s outside the international calendar.

Hence how we’ve got a few of the training youngsters such as Wilson, Graham & Fletcher on the bench to cover.

He seems to be the only one missing apart from those who played last weekend. I'd be surprised if Southampton didn't release him.

Hickey was out in 2021 for 5 months with a shoulder injury. I was just concerned when he went down and took a whole to get up and has been rubbing his shoulder a lot

Doak is positive but he needs to beat the man and get the cross in, he stops too often and tries to beat the man again

Hoping Hickey doesnt have a broken jaw, would have preferred it was 11v11.  It would be a better contest for us

I reckon Paterson will come on for Hickey at HT. He has had a physical half. I dont think I would change anything else just yet. BGD can get another 15/20 mins

Shankland is a yard off pace. He should've been rested or not picked at all

Very generous assessment of him so far.
