Flights and accommodation do seem to be coming down in price (at least a lot less than when I was last searching).

Some mates got a great deal on a triple room in a good hotel in Boston using Trivago - I had a look at Trivago and it does seem that perhaps other countries' fans are now perhaps cancelling.  It's still expensive but much, much cheaper than it was (about £100 a night each in a really good central Boston Hotel)

FIFA block booked thousands of hotel rooms in World Cup venues which are supposed to be for staff and media 

Is this why hotel accommodation in and around Boston has been so horrifically expensive for at least the last 6 months ? 

So not only have FIFA on their own have vastly inflated ticket prices but also did the same with accommodation ?

Now they are getting rid of these block bookings which means more accommodation becomes available when it hasnt been for 6 months ?

My original hotel was over £2000 for four nights. I've now got one in a better location for around £1000. 

They had a fairly significant four night and payment up front discount. It was only around £100 a night more expensive than during non-World Cup periods. 

That's the obscene match tickets paid for!
