ArbroathDeclaration Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Since my time in Germany with the Tartan Army at the Euros 2024 finals following Scotland and ultimately supporting Spain (I’m sure you’ll know why I ultimately got behind Spain after Scotland got knocked out), I keep reliving during walks etc. the great experience of the qualifying tournament followed by the finals and consequently decided to record my memories and experiences. The book I have written will not win any Pulitzer or Booker prizes, but it has fulfilled what I set out to do in recording my experiences, and more importantly will, if purchased, raise funds equally for the Beatson Cancer hospital in Glasgow and the Tartan Army Sunshine appeal. I do not intend to make a penny from any book sales. For information, the former charity is where my younger son, Calum, who is doing very well and living a full and normal life, had and is receiving his post operations treatment following his brain tumour and the latter charity donates thousand of pounds to an appropriate children’s charity in the country that Scotland visits to play at each of its away matches. All in all two very worthwhile charities. The book comes in two forms, ebook or paperback. The link to purchase the book in either form is: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Euros-2024-My-Memories-Experiences/dp/B0GMDBQB9T/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=34UQ0DRBHWC1A&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.84w53j2I7MqI4IY3Mm_6quk023etIp3nd6_dRCxA0L8y5n0E2I6zx6giYsuuR4ix.BQtTTA_f5LAS_09zrBtQCPJx3W74Z2Ab5CsetBqCi_s&dib_tag=se&keywords=donald+j+mcrae+book&qid=1777746023&sprefix=donald+j+mc%2Caps%2C299&sr=8-1 if you are inclined to purchase the book as we approach the next tournament with Scotland - thanks. The charities will appreciate the contribution to their worthwhile efforts. Quote
