I think it will be Lennon Miller in there. And Findlay Curtis in place of Stewart. I think that is how Clarke will go. You not read my last sentence? Lennon miller will probably be included but I would rather take burke or Morgan. I don't think Curtis has done enough to warrant a place. Quote

Morgan and Gauld haven't featured for around a year so cannot see him selecting them on those grounds just as I can't see McBurnie and Burke making the squad for the same reason. Quote

He's only 19 and has had a decent breakout season, but I'm thinking he has been included lately for the same reason James Wilson was included - his potential, and for Clarke to have a look at up close. Neither have/had stats that are mind-blowing. Calvin Miller actually has better stats than Findlay Curtis. Not saying Miller should be picked, though. I'd 100% take Burke ahead of both. Especially now that Conway is officially out. Though I'd have taken him ahead of Conway, too. Quote

A few goals in the spfl shouldn't get you a spot in our world cup squad. Tbf I don't watch him every week so maybe hes doing amazing things, maybe some Killie fans might know better. Quote

I have said before I would take Burke but I am going by Clarke's ways of working he is not going to re-instate someone into a major tournament squad not involved for such a long time. Quote

Was hoping he’d be our no1 but looking unlikely to the point, im wondering if he’ll even go. i hope Gordon and Shankland tell the SFA to stick the world cup up their arse. it wouldn’t surprise me if they did. Don't be silly. He would have been off to rangers if he had gotten the chance. He doesn't care that much about hearts to jeopardize his opportunity of a lifetime. It's every players dream to play at a world cup. Quote

No, keep up min, he's missing out because he's got a broken nose and a fractured skull. His situation is deteriorating by the day. Quote

I think the hype is fair enough considering 9 goals and 4 assists in season for a 19 year old winger even if it’s the SPL. He’s fearless and got a good shot on him. I’d argue he’s got a higher ceiling than the alternatives being discussed. We always give Clarke a hard time for being too slow to bring in the youngsters. I’d expect Curtis to be around the squad for years to come. Quote

We have seen plenty of young players do well in the spl and then fade out and end up fairly average players. We have seen guys like Turnbull or gauld do well and then fade out. The ppl who claim Clarke doesn't give young players a chance are talking shite. Hes given a chance to every young player who was worthy of a shot. I am not totally against him getting in the squad but guys like Morgan, Gauld and burke should really be ahead of him. Quote

This is where you lose any credibility with your arguments about hearts. Your being a petulant child The Scotland national team has nothing to do with what happened yesterday Do the rest of us a favour and have the balls to fuck off off this part of the board and don't support Scotland. Your dying to do this anyway, let's see if you actually have the balls Quote

breeks_mctavish Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Don’t forget he spent half the season warming the bench at Rangers. They’re good numbers, better than Burke produced when he was in the SPL at Celtic. Gauld and Morgan have been injured for a long time Quote

Well, going by the 2 previous tournaments, he's picked a few wildcards in each tournament as well as recalling players that have been out of the picture for a while. So, based on history, it's not outwith the realms of possibility that he calls up Burke. Forrest had been out of the picture for quite a while before the Euros but had a strong end to the season and forced himself in. Burke has arguably done that. But you could also make a case for most of our fringe forwards. Quote

I have heard all the previous chat about the game being run for the two Glasgow clubs, but the past few weeks Have brought it in to sharp, clear focus. The Scottish national team literally has “Scotland football association” on the badge. Quote
