Someone was on one the fizzogbook pages saying that this game could knock last weeks Côte D’Ivoire points out if the last 10 games come the Euros ticket sales

That’ll be a bit of a sickener for the ones saying that it would be a cheap and easy 2 points for the Euros

Including this game, that leaves 4 away games left for this year. Would need 6 away games next year for it to be knocked off. I'm going to say we'll be a minimum of a 5 team group for the qualifiers next year which gives 4 away, and two away friendlies is not inconceivable.

The fifa calendar dictates how many games will be played. 10 each year, assuming equal home and away it will count. Tickets will go on sale before the march 2028 window so they won’t count…

In 94 I remember watching Trans World Sport or similar that had a special on South American qualifiers.

After watching it was convinced Bolivia would take the World Cup by storm.  In the Italian Championship Manager kept signing Etchevery, had him in my fantasy football team you used have post in and told all my mates he’d be up there for top scorer.

Off the bench v Germany and sent off within 5 minutes.  Legendary mullet though that the world never really got a chance to admire .

I was at South Korea v Bolivia at World Cup 94.

Very boring 0-0 draw...

The game was at Gillette Stadium.

I jumped on a train in Boston, got to the game, picked up a ticket outside for $20, and then got the train back.

The good old days....

It's highly unlikely given there will be two "lucky loser" hosts spots available but if we ended up in the March play-offs and qualified through that route, there is a possibility that we could have at least one away match in March 2028, which would be before our tickets went on sale, which would knock out the Ivory Coast match.

As I say highly unlikely.....but this is Scotland we are speaking about!!

I believe tickets go on sale to the general public on 15th April. Not sure if prices have been advertised.

I’d imagine it’ll comfortably go to zero points. I noticed England have just released the ticketing details for their two games in Florida. They got about 3700 tickets for both games, which were both priced about £35. Hopefully similar for us.

Tickets $82.30 from Ticketmaster, about £63.  I'm guessing the official SFA allocation will be about the same, but who knows?

I'd imagine so, no doubt we'll find out soon.  Surely this will go right down, points wise.  See you in Times Square!

Not sure there should be points awarded for away friendlies   Do the players or Scottish Football gain anything out of it?

Just means that supporters with less disposable income won’t get tickets for important games.
Keeps  the tourists happy I guess

I’m not convinced points should be awarded for matches played outside of FIFA match windows ie Curacao at home

Is it classed as an official match if it’s played outside the FIFA calendar? If so players probably won’t be gaining a cap by playing in it so why are supporters being awarded a point?

Nothing against a point for a home game you are showing some sort of support.   The game in Liverpool? Why didn’t they just come out and say. Couple of cheap points if you live south of Perth. Alternatively if you want to climb the ladder for points and can afford to how about America the week before the World Cup?

Scandelous the prices they're charging for a friendly. At least the PATH subway train to the stadium will only be $3.

Nope. Getting a bit worried about it now. Its 6 weeks until the game and no indication on tickets/allocations. Nothing

Very Strange situation

There was an email sent out today asking folk to register their interest if they are interested in going to this game

Not received the email yet

Is your email registered for their marketing? If so, email will be titled “50 days to go”. And link is available half way down the email:

Anyone know a working email for the Scottish FA?

Somebody on here does. They got a row for chasing up an unanswered email

Disgraceful way to treat card holding members that are literally keeping you in a job really
