FIFA must be getting desperate

Either that or it's massive trolling

Still well over $1200 for a Brazil ticket and rising

YOUR NATION. YOUR MOMENT.

Current availability

Great site to show what's available on Fifa, no login needed

https://seatsidekick.com/

It does all the hard work for you, tells you prices and seat ideas, then you can log in to Fifa ticketing.

Currently the following is listed for Haiti game, and corresponds with Fifa Marketplace.

There are also blocks of four seats for $690 currently for sale (approx £500)

This is interesting. Look at the prices from the last Month. That covers 9 Days after the LAST MINUTE SALES PHASE Started. Haiti and MOROCCO dropping. Brazil holding.

Prediction:

Trend will continue on 1st 2. But real chunk sized drops will happen last few days for Haiti and Morocco. Brazil won't start to drop until literally the week before. And even in the last couple of days, I don't think we will see chunky drops.

I need to wait on Morocco. $600 is a rip off (but I would probably pay it). But my boy insists we ain't paying above $200. That's HARD-CORE!

If I want to buy some Scotland v Morocco tickets at these prices, what do I have to do?

I am registered with FIFA and the ticket exchange site.

FIFA LMS currently selling Cat1 and Cat2 for Brazil. Cat2 shows as $660 but when going to buy shows as $1450 about £1080.  Crazy money but they are there for those that want

I paid £200 for my Brazil ticket in 98 but could easily have sold it for £1000 on the day.
Wonder how it will compare this time.
Not the opening game but I would expect more Brazilians and local interest this time. Probably more Scottish interest too. The prices might not get much better.

Aye

Outside of the stadium we were offered £1000 each for ours as well

Totally different scenario

They will drop a bit in the days before the game but not enough to be realistic

Mamdani Secures $50 World Cup Tickets for New Yorkers After Negotiations with Infantino

FIFA has given the NY mayor 1000 tickets - blocks of 150 for each game to be held at Metlife

New Yorkers wishing to buy have to enter a lottery

Does anyone (outside of FIFA) know if FIFA have released all of the tickets yet or are they going to have another last minute sale, therefore keeping the prices artificially high?

Uncertain Ticket Inventory

The biggest reason for that is FIFA’s lack of transparency during the primary ticket selling process.

The sport’s governing body has released match tickets in several waves since the process began with a presale for Visa cardholders way back in September.

Some waves of that process were planned. But the last three since the beginning of April were a relative surprise, and FIFA has communicated that it will continue to release tickets in small batches up until – and perhaps even beyond when – the tournament starts.

So while analysts have tried to guess how many tickets might still be unreleased for particular matches, no one outside of FIFA’s organizational borders knows for sure. That means the resale market may be reacting not only to the current availability of tickets, but the projected potential future availability of them.

The dip we’re currently seeing could owe to anticipation of more ticket releases on the primary. If that expectation changes, that could drive secondary ticket prices higher closer to kickoff.

That suggests that games haven't sold nearly as well as they'd like.

I really hate the way FIFA are squeezing as much money as they can out of the supporters. Verging on criminal.

I actually thought there would be shed loads of tickets for Sale by this point. I'm shocked there isn't. Less than 3 weeks to go.

I really have no idea what FIFA are doing. The onbly thing I can think is they are shifting them through the Re-Sale Market?

They will end up giving them away especially for the unattractive group games - and they can afford it with how much has already been spent on the over inflated prices

They already did this at the World Club tournament as empty seats gives FIFA a bad look

Also watch the tickets that face the TV cameras getting sold first. I have visions of one half of the stadium being rammed and the other half, half full.
