That’s as bruising a 90 minutes as I’ve seen at this level for a long time and still 30 to go. Fair play to the ref for letting it flow and both sets of players for just getting on with it.

You'd have to think neither of these will have enough left in the tank to take Denmark now.

Was thinking that but with the final not being  till Tuesday instead of what would have normally been this Sunday (with the way they do the qualifiers)  so they’ll get an extra 2 days which should be more than enough time to recover

Absolute sickener for both the Republic of Ireland and Wales. I remember how I felt after Serbia equalised against us in the Euro 2020 playoff. Turned out okay in the end though...

They’re going to need that extra couple of days. That’s been an incredibly physical game, almost a throwback to a bygone era. Great to watch though.

Hungary?

Yeah could be, if you go back far enough.

Anyway, well done to Italy and Bosnia & Herzegovina tonight.

Wales and Ireland take the last train to the end of the line…….unlucky!

Thought Wales would do it there when they saved the first one...ah well.

Yeah I was rooting for them. I used to think Bellamy was a complete w*nker as a player but I seem to have slightly warmed to him as Wales manager.

Think Wales have the makings of a good team but lost tonight through game management. Their keeper looks next level.

They look better than us

I can't see Bosnia or the Czech Republic beating Italy or Denmark

And with the players Sweden have it was predicted they would come good after binning their manager so they should make it

Kosovo and Turkey is a toss up but i think Kosovo will make it too

An interesting character, he’s acknowledged he’s been a bit of a cunt in the past not many folk do that

Wales should have totally won that last night. Poor game management as has been mentioned. Bosnia just kept digging in and I could sense they were going to get back into it the more it went on. Still feel quite unfamiliar with most of their players but sense they should be a real handful going forward. Dan James and def Wilson would make our first 11.  Surprise all 3 of NI, ROI and Wales never made it through, was expecting at least 1 of them.

A note on ROI penalties last night - apparently they decided not to practice them in their preparation. Lesson learned there but I’m sure SC made them practice them prior to Israel and Serbia.

Allan Browne - twice he’s missed a pen in play offs now having missed in Slovakia in 2020 - brutal.

I've been pleasantly surprised by him too. By all accounts he was always dedicated to and passionate about football, he just had an unfortunate habit as a younger man of not knowing when to keep his mouth shut.

It's to his credit though that he's acknowledged he has behaved like a fanny at times in the past. Compare that with Roy Keane, who will blame his high profile temper tantrums on everyone but himself.
