They tick the ‘sexy’ box but cant see how they would be comfortable enough to run in unless it was just to escape from Parkhead , they dont look particularly cushioned . I have asics gel nimbus. They are probably not going to win you any fashion awards but they are by far the comfiest trainers I have ever had. I wouldn’t buy anything else now for exercise . ASICS Nimbus were my favourite running trainers I’ve ever had - then made the toe box a bit narrower and I didn’t like them as much. I do have a current pair but Brooks Glycerin are similar and probably better. Neither of those are winning any fashion prizes on this thread though - although probably a step up from crocs! 😜 Back to the original post from @slasher … I have 2 or 3 pairs of 574’s and like them but would never consider for running. I’ve got Saucony and ZX600’s that I’d say similar-ish style to 574’s but again, wouldn’t be running in them. All of the other adidas stuff on here is all fashion trends for me - many of which I like (samba, spezial, Stan smith, and so on) but I don’t even think any of those are comfy at all. Closest thing to a crossover that’s good for running and doesn’t look terrible is something like Nike Pegasus if you get it in a decent colorway. Quote

Not only do I have my Scotland crocs, I have slipper crocs with furry lining 😆 Funny you should mention the toe being narrower on the asics. I needed a size 7 and the biggest size I have ever had before on any shoe of any sort is a 6, I am generally a 5 1/2. It’s typical , I bought them when I used to run as I needed a decent shoe , then I had to stop running as it was aggravating my hip. So I spent more money than I would ever do on a pair of walking shoes, but they really are comfy. When you all get over 60 comfort will take priority! 😁 Quote
dandydunn Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Looking at trainers for my loon and my finger slipped 😆 Quote
slasher Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 An absolutely pointless trip through to Livingston today as nothing I wanted a look at was in stock anywhere. The blow was cushioned by a couple of pints in Spoons as Mrs S was driving. First beers in a few weeks, was buzzing after then fell asleep in the car on the way home! 😂 Quote
slasher Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 I’ll order a few online and send the losers back! That’s the plan anyway, Ty for all the advice 👍 Quote

We're getting fitted wardrobes in May that have a whole floor to ceiling section for shoes so I may as well get my monies worth and fill it! Quote
