McFadders Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I really hope the SFA are mindful that many people have just paid out around £1000 for world cup tickets this week and price the games accordingly. The players deserve a big send off before the world cup but it needs to priced right as fans don't have a bottomless pit of cash. Thoughts? Quote
stocky Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I think it will be at least £150 for the 5 match package However £@180 is more likely... Quote
Barney Rubble Posted February 10 Posted February 10 A 5 match package including two unattractive 'friendlies' v Japan and Curacao (no disrespect intended at all to either nation) should not be above £120. Anything above that would be blatant price gouging. To use the vernacular, it would be ripping the absolute pish out of the fans' loyalty, especially in the context of Infantino's pish taking over World Cup ticket pricing and current everyday cost of living pressures. A common sense approach to pricing this package from the SFA could gain them considerable goodwill. Past experience suggests that is unlikely to happen though. Quote
Andy of Lochcarron Posted February 11 Posted February 11 IMO the SFA will set the ticket packages at 2025 prices as per the ‘SSC Ticket information prices ‘ detailed on the SFA website-so it will be £175 Adult on West & East Stand & £200 on North & South Stand Quote
GLOSTA Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Given SFA getting c.£8 million from FIFA for WC preparation and participitation it would be a nice gesture. But I doubt they will as would be hard to put prices up for next campaign. Quote
McFadders Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 They are seriously out of touch. Season tickets going on sale Monday. Fixture details and ticket information finalised for momentous year at Barclays Hampden Quote
supersub Posted February 13 Posted February 13 No discount for the 5 match package as compared to buying 5 individual tickets. Would have been a nice sort of reward at least. Although prices remain the same as the last campaign the standard of opposition hasn't and the Nations league is not actual qualifiers. Disappointed. Quote

We need to challenge this idea that a qualifier against Spain or Denmark should be the same price as a friendly. Imagine if they tried this pish at club level? Quote
supersub Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Would be good if the relevant supporters groups got together to have some sort of influence on pricing or what we want from our membership. Will struggle to fill seats given the lack of quality opposition and midweek games. There must be some sort of dialogue given theres a family area and singing section mentioned. Quote
GLOSTA Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Quality of opposition, by FIFA rankings Japan - 19 - and if we get out of WC group could face them in 2 of the options Switzerland - 18 Ivory Coast - 37 - yes i know that is away but we could also get them if we get out of the group. Scotland - 38 Slovenia - 57 Macedonia - 66 Curacao -81 The Nations League does matter for qualification, it is how we got to the 2020/21 ones. Still think over priced though. Quote
DoonTheSlope Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Nobody should ever be paying £40 to watch a half hearted kick about against Curacao Quote
allan84 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Im not buying the package. I will buy each ticket nearer the time. Quote

Toepoke Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Just bought the 5 match package. Process wasn't too bad. The main (probably only) advantage is you get first dibs at the best seats, especially in the West Stand. Quote
Gemmill78er Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Felt the SFA could have gone for lower prices given costs of World Cup tickets and going/being there. But also see that this is an opportunity to cash in on feel-good factor. 5 match package bought purely to get best seats and build up points for the Euros (for which we really should qualify). Quote
Ripped Cords Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Just a shame you can’t keep “your” seat from previous campaigns. Quote

Gemmill78er Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Managed to keep same seat as last 5 games but it would be good to get first refusal rather than feeling the need to go in bang on ticket sales opening! Quote

I never bothered back then, missed too many games on the shifts I worked, but the last year we had it before the new system, I'd have been happy with keeping it. Quote
Meechy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Does anyone know how many loyalty points we would earn if we bought the 5 match package? I was on 10 points ahead of WC ticket sales, obviously wasnt enough, so I'm wondering if I should even bother with this and put the £200 towards any ticket I might get for Haiti game in Boston. Quote

Meechy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Ok thanks, I was guessing that but wasn't sure. £200 is steep considering 2 friendlies in there. Think I'll pass. Edited February 16 by Meechy Quote
