Tierney has played 90 minutes 7 of 19 league games, plus an 88. He's played all bar 2 minutes in the last 3 games, so I think by the summer he'll be fully flying.

That's ok as long as it is managed properly. With KT's injury record, think a few rested games (or subbed at 60 in games) might be preferable.

McGinn out for “some weeks.” Could be worse. Could be better. Continuing to be assessed.

I suppose “some weeks” is better than “some months”. I had a horrible feeling about it when it happened on Sunday as it’s not like him to signal to come off very early.

Probably knowing what McGinn is like as a player & leader, he will be desperate to come back and help his team as it’s past the midway point now and the business end of the season will be here very soon. Important that he does not rush it though. Especially with what is at stake this summer.

I had a look at different knee injuries and as long as it isn't his ACL or PCL, he should recover in plenty of time. If it had been either of them, he'd be out for the season and Emery would have said so.

Relief about Mcginn. I'd say he is probably one of 5 players we would really struggle to replace without a big drop off. The others being McTominay, Doak, Hickey and weirdly Barnes even though he hasn't even played or switched (yet).

Josh Mulligan ruled out for "a few weeks"

Josh Mulligan will be out for “a few weeks” – potentially ruling him out of the next Edinburgh derby - with an ankle injury sustained in last weekend’s Scottish Cup loss to Dunfermline, according to Hibs boss David Gray. Mulligan limped out of action late in the first half of the 1-0 loss at East End Park.

Gray provided an update on the former Dundee star today, confirming that he’ll be absent for tomorrow’s trip to Falkirk. And he admitted that the all-action all-rounder is likely to miss a series of important games, with Rangers to visitingt Easter Road next weekend – and a trip to Tynecastle on February 10 also potentially coming too soon for Mulligan.

“Obviously Josh came off, he won't be available this weekend,” said the manager. “We don't know exactly, to put an exact timescale on it, but it will be a few weeks, a significant period of time I would think because of his injury, which is a blow.

“It is on a personal level for Josh as well, he was doing really well. It comes at a time where he was playing really well, so a real disappointment for him, but he's very much head down, desperate to get back and be working hard to do that, so he's very good that way.

“As I say, it's a disappointment because he was playing really well. But he's going to be out for a few weeks anyway.”

Providing more details on the problem, Gray said: “Just an ankle injury. He's had scans, he's had things checked on it. I think you could tell as well, I did fear the worst when I said it straight after the game, when Josh stays down, he would have done something.

“Unfortunately there does seem to be a bit of an issue in his ankle there that we'll have to investigate a little bit further. But as I say, it will certainly keep him out for a few weeks.”

Tierney went off injured against Hearts. No idea how serious it is.

I think Harry Milne was the best full back on the park today and deserves a chance in the upcoming games.

Bournemouth fan on X saying Gannon-Doak about 5 weeks away, and that was a week ago.

Absolutely no idea if this is correct or he knows anything, just something I stumbled across.

Problem with these Hamstring injuries - they need time ( hopefully he’s not rushed back )

Hickeys was way too long but think that was as bad as it gets………

Really hope this is true but I can't find anything backing this time scale up. The radio silence is weird. Normally a rough estimate is given. Not sure why they haven't said anything

Tierney might have been carrying something the whole game. I'm still taking a fit Tierney ahead of Milne and probably ahead of Robertson.

The difficlty I guess is that only player returns to training and running on grass which is a couple of weeks away you just don't know. Fingers crossed.

That's all on the ref who let Dunfermline get away with a number of industrial challenges on Hibs players.

Was only a matter of time before someone got injured.

Yeah some of their tackles were very dirty. Mulligan was absolutely raging in the direction of the Dunfermline player that injured him.

McGinn ruled out for 2 months. Glad it’s not anything seriously longer term. Pretty much rules him out of the March friendly matches but an opportunity for someone else to come in and stake a claim to be on that plane to USA this summer.

Don’t know if it is this site here that he/she got that potential return date from:

Don’t know how reliable it is but fingers crossed it’s true 🤞🏽

Even if it's reasonably accurate/fact-based and just a couple of weeks' off spot on then he will be back in plenty of time for the World Cup.

It’s no bad thing if Doak and McGinn and any others are out for the March friendlies but then back soon after. They’ll be rested for the end of season run in to get some form before the World Cup starts & it leaves squad places for the friendlies for others which is what we need to get a look at peripheral players or new caps in some areas
