GLOSTA Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 According to Independent at least some FiFA fan zones will have an entry fee. Determined to fleece us at every opportunity it seems. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/fifa-world-cup-2026-tickets-fan-zone-new-york-b2886907.html Quote
Craig Fae Hamilton Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 If someone released an ABC Guide on how to destroy a World Cup. It would be very similair to what FIFA have done this time round! Apparently it is down to each individual Host City if they charge. I am thinking, all USA hosts will and Canada and Mexico won't! Quote
ScotlandHandyAndy Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 You'd hope they see sense on this one. It makes no sense for fans to pay a premium to enter somewhere to drink overpriced beer. I'll be swerving these for the bars if they insist on an entry fee. Quote
Toepoke Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 I also saw a comment that the New York fanzone won't be showing Scotland v Haiti due to the late kick off 🤷 Quote

bdgsct Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 Fan zones whether changing or not for entry should be boycotted on principle based on FIFA behaviour. If a bar holds an Antififa party, I'm there. Quote

Callumdonia Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Just announced: City Hall Plaza in Boston for main "fan festival" zone Quote
giblet Posted February 10 Posted February 10 they said there will be 'organised watch parties' across the City. Quote
giblet Posted February 10 Posted February 10 no dates confirmed, concerningly the Boston26 guy just said 16 days and that would include up to quarter final.. Quote
Haggis Jack Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I just watched the Boston press conference and the link is here. The Tartan Army gets a quick mention first Quote
Craig Fae Hamilton Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I watched too. Intention is for it to be free, but they are working out the final details over the next few weeks. I was very impressed! Quote

Wonder if they will create a new one or everyone will pile into Boston? Quote

There are supposedly going to be smaller local events taking place instead. Quote
