Cat 4 tickets up on the resale site… going for $1000…

*advertised for sale for $1000.

Would need to be off your head to buy them when cat 1/2/3 available for less.

Scotland V Haiti seems to be the biggest mover of the whole World Cup on the resale sites 😮 prices up 34% in the last 3 days... It would suggest not everyone is holding out in the hope of prices coming down...

Brazil v Scotland is the second most valuable ticket of the group stage!

Still can't believe some of these prices can hold up. Senegal v Iraq/Bolivia/Suriname, tickets from $450 😲

I think it can, it'll only go one way and thats up in price. A lot of wealthy Brazilians, many in Florida.

From what I can see it is still not possible to list tickets bought in the recent ballot. It will be interesting to see price movement when they start dropping in.

Agreed, haven’t seen any tickets at all with a purchase price equal to the latest ballot prices. I do wonder if FIFA will not allow this before the resale closes in two weeks time just to keep prices high ahead of the final first come first served sale process.

Have they given as excuse to close it? Seems strange it’s closed for so long but likely it’s commercially beneficial to them.

Now that’s interesting. Would explain why there’s been little movement in pricing. Wonder if it’s a case of waiting for payments to clear.

Would be handy if anyone on here that got via the RSD could let us know if/when they’re able to transfer/resell. Would be a great way of monitoring if there’s any pricing movements on the resale market.

I have Tix through the RSD and can't transfer/resell yet.  I suspect it is indeed waiting for payment to clear, as it is still listed as pending on my CC.   I suspect prices will drop (at least temporarily) when the supply greatly increases the next few days

People are paying £1000 for a Scotland vs Brazil ticket. Touts are getting the money easily. Its madness!

TBF, Miami in particular has a gigantic Brazilian population. Another reason probably why Infantino opted for our game to be played there rather than the bigger stadium in Atlanta.

CAT 2's on FIFA for $732 this morning. (HAITI)

Too much for Me but if someone applied for a $500 Cat 1 and were un-successful, you maybe interested in this? That is the final price.

Beware though, Club World Cup / World Cup:

the Club World Cup held last year can not be compared to this summer's World Cup.

I think you could possibly compare it in a small way. But clearly a huge difference. This is another story I read, can see a lot of similarities although admittedly, it is the Club World Cup:

https://www.sounderatheart.com/2025/07/fifa-has-led-us-all-into-deeper-waters-through-club-world-cup/

You read voices from actual 'Soccer' Fans in it. And it appears many of them were totally burned.

The Club World Cup isn't really comparable at all. The similarities start and end at location, in my opinion. These articles are also to do with dynamic pricing for tickets sold by FIFA. Assuming no tickets have been held back (which of course only FIFA know), the suggestion is that the most (if not all) of the games were oversubscribed at all price points and hence sold out. Therefore FIFA are no longer in control of the prices, so these articles aren't really relevant?

Personally I'd be surprised if a notable number of tickets had been held back from the RSD. The suggestion is that any tickets in the First Come First Served sale will just be any that weren't sold (minimal I suspect), returned corporate, and failed payment tickets. I'm sure there will be a few but I'd be surprised if it's very many.

I think ticket prices are now solely in the hands of the resellers...

As I've said before though, no one outside FIFA knows the full details, and only time will tell what happens to resale prices. Personally, I'd expect them to peak over the next week or so, and then slowly drop closer to face value before levelling off until close to the tournament.

Prices still rising almost across the board: https://www.ticketdata.com/performer/world-cup-soccer
