SSC World Cup Timings For Monday

This email just throws up more questions ! Particularly that if you choose category which has cheapest tickets & not available, you may be downgraded ???

If you want to sit next to somebody option to put others persons ticket allocation number, what if they havent yet applied, the other person can enter it I suppose - not clear

This is all about trying to get folk wound up into a frenzy, so that they will be panicked into buying outrageously priced tickets. Create the illusion of high demand and low supply and folk will buy more. It's an age old marketing strategy. And, it very often works.

It makes absolutely zero sense to me - if anything it’s just confusing people. I was near banging my head off a brick wall trying to explain to my mate that he isn’t actually buying his tickets at 10am on Monday.

14-10 slot is crazy,

3935 folk on 14, by going down to 10 points this group now has 18654 which is a huge number for a slot 😵‍💫

I’m on 13 points so could well be screwed 🤬

Surely tickets are allocated to people with higher points even within each slot?

The FAQ says

"For each match that is oversubscribed, we will conduct a ballot following the Final Deadline using the loyalty point system to determine who is successful in receiving their chosen category ticket, starting with the highest of 32 points and working our way down the points ladder until all eligible members have been allocated tickets for their chosen category."

So I don't see how the slots actually matter.

Is that not just the time they are sending out the codes. As far as I can see it makes no difference in the real world.

Americans won't sell out Boston Stadium when it's going to cost $4-500 a Seat. Prices will come down.

I'm on 11 points and won't even use my STC number to apply.

Good luck if you think a Cat 1 or Cat 2 ticket is the way to go!

Having said that I booked a flight from Boston to Miami for next Tuesday.

There is no way fifa has access to loyalty points. It’s only our access codes that they will be using. You think they’re sifting through 48 countries points systems to be fair. This is exactly what it looks like. A complete shafting. I’m on 14 points, booked hotels and flights knowing I would be guaranteed a ticket, and now I’m in a pot with 18000.

Forgive me but in a pot of 18,000 not sure what you mean? Ma daughter is 13 points & that category loyalty points goes to about 4700, so isn’t 14 points around 4000 mark?

No you're not. They are releasing the codes in stages I would imagine just to avoid everyone trying to log in at the same time and get frustrated as they sit for an hour or more in the waiting room. 

THIS IS NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.

It doesn't matter whether you submit your application in the first day or the last day of the window, you will still be allocated (or not) a ticket based on the category of ticket you apply for and the number of points you have starting with the highest points applicants first. 

All the SFA have asked is that we should all apply if at all possible by the first Sunday of the window being open (so that gives everyone a week) so that they can then sift through the applications and give some sort of guidance on how many people at what points levels have applied for the three categories so that, if they want to, people can then cancel their first application (note you can't change an application once submitted) and resubmit a new application with a different category if it looks like their initial category will sell-out before it reaches their points level.

The sfa has very little say in ticketing for this. It was always going to give different access codes for different points holders, but there aren’t 32 different access codes, that would be a nightmare for fifa, so they’ve split them into pots. 15 and above covers almost all of the available tickets if they all want to go, but putting 10-14 together is a cop out. It is exactly what it looks like.

All the folk on 14 points will get priority over all the folk on 10 points. What's so difficult to understand about this? Someone on 32 points could in theory apply at the last minute and get priority over a 19 pointer who applied in the 1st hour.
