Anyway here are the lucky nominees, two of which I had to google.

Ive heard of three of them.

That's not too bad considering that three are females, and one is an F1 driver, the dullest sport in the world, even women's fiitba is more entertaining than that.

Based on google searches of less than 1 minute, the F1 driver seems to have had the best year. So step forward Chloe Kelly as winner.

If it were based purely on sporting achievements it would be between Mcllroy and Littler but its a public vote so Chloe Kelly will be in with a chance

Littler seems to have won the over whelming majority of events this year. But I'm not having darts as a sport, sorry, but if you have the same physique as me, Im not having that. Its a pub activity.

Is golf a sport? I'm guessing John Daly is bigger than you. 😂 What about horse dancing? They seem to win a disproportionate amount of the time. Although, it's over 20 years since I last watched it, so I might be a wee bit out of touch. I wonder if the cricket chaps will get a mention?

John Daly hasn't been near the top of a leaderboard for the best part of 30 years.  The majority of the top golfers in the world these days are in great shape and need to be given how far they need to drive the ball.

30 years ago.  Professional golf has changed significantly since then.  The same way you don't get many players the same shape Gazza was when he was playing for Rangers.

Golf is a sport, there is an inverse relationship with fatness and ability. John Daly is an outlier. 

Horse dancing is a sport for the horse, not convinced for the rider. Imagine the poor horse with John Daly strapped on to it. 

Was it Jocky Wilson who used to play darts half cut? I’ve tried to play golf after a drink or two on charity days, and good lord, that isn’t easy.

In Jock Wilson's days, I think most of them were half cut. Not sure about Bristow and Lowe, they were just boring fukers. I think Bobby George liked a drink or two. When I used to play darts, two pints was about the right amount to get you in the zone to play your best darts. Anything more than 4, and it was a downhill spiral. A bit like driving a car really.

Golf is hard enough when you're sober never mind half cut. But the trick with golf is to drink even more. If you look down and see two balls it's tricky to decide which one to try to hit. If you get to the stage that you see 3 balls, just go for the one in the middle...much easier!

I could count 50 players that Ive played with at 5s or Sunday League that would piss all over Beth Mead whoever she may be, but yeah her or Pele is a tough choice.
