So a 2am kick off for our first game back at a world cup in 28 years. Fuck FIFA!

The world’s round, CJ. Fans all around the globe have to get up early or go to bed later to view the World Cup due to logistics. Now it’s our turn

Our local times are:

On a positive note, there will be no need to travel between the first and second match.

That's great news for fans.

Also the kick off times mean we will be playing in cooler temperatures.

The stars are aligning for our revenge job on Brazil and Morocco.

Maybe air BnB is a better option for fans.

England have been handed World Cup kick-off times which suit UK audiences - but Scotland fans face later finishes during next summer's tournament.

England will play all three of their group games in the United States, with their first two matches against Croatia, on 17 June, and Ghana, on 23 June, kicking off at 21:00 BST.

Their final group game against Panama on 27 June begins at 22:00.

Scotland will play their Group C games in Boston and Miami, with their opener against Haiti on 14 June at Gillette Stadium kicking off at 02:00.

Steve Clarke's side's next two matches, against Morocco in Massachusetts on 19 June and five-time winners Brazil in Miami on 24 June, will both start at 23:00.

I think Afcon will be the big test for them. They got knocked out early in 2023 - losing in the round of sixteen to South Africa - but should easily get out of their group containing Comoros; Mali; and Zambia.

Morocco's market value on TransferMarkt seems to be based on their squad for the FIFA Arab Cup taking place at the moment, with what's effectively a B team (who are based entirely in the Middle East and North Africa) - only four of their twenty-three man squad have double figure appearances. Hakimi has a value on there of €65m alone (compared to the overall figure of €37.9m of the Morocco squad) and the value of their squad for their final qualifiers against Congo was €380.6m.

I've done a weighted average of the Football Manager abilities for the teams in our group (based on minutes played in qualifying), as a guide, and they're comparable to us: Brazil (155.50); Morocco (138.55); Scotland (136.11); Haiti (111.82). Will end up doing the entirety of qualified teams.

For context, Brazil's rating means their squad is on average comprised of players who'd be at the top end of the Premier League; Morocco and ourselves average towards good/decent Premier League players; Haiti average to decent English Championship/top League One players.

Morocco absolutely have more depth than us though.

It's certainly a winnable game, but Morocco will almost certainly be favourites.

It was obvious watching Igamane that he had the potential to take his game to a much higher level. He's doing that in France now and is supposedly attracting interest from the big Spanish clubs. He's a worry, for sure.

Time of day in USA may matter more for the players?

Fuck that - It's an absolute cunter for anyone not actually going to Boston

Looks as if the English FA were lobbying like fuck to get decent kick off times for fans

You cant even go on say a beach holiday in Europe for the World Cup as not many pubs will be staying open that late if any

And i cant see the Scottish Government legislating for 24 hour drinking here either

I'm hoping there will be a WC fanzone, big screen, bevie , etc for every Scotland match as getting tickets won't be easy. I have never been to a World Cup, so just curious. Is there a fee for the fanzone? Or just show up and join the party !!!  Can you bring your own bevie?
