You're a bit of a sad act who seems very angry at life. Cheer up, Don't know what's going on in your life but hope it picks up soon. Quote

It's not a cheap trip, however if you are willing to go for cheap accommodation not in city centre's/host cities then it's nowhere near as expensive as the press are making out. I;ll be making plenty sacrifices between now and June. Not sure why i'm even justifying myself to the resident attention seeking troll though. Quote

I’ll take that on board and maybe this time next year I’ll be as condescending towards other posters financial plights Cheers! Quote
dezmondo Posted December 13, 2025 Author Posted December 13, 2025 I'll say it again: - extortionate pricing - shocking allocations - dynamic pricing bullsh*t - FIFA allowing resales at any price and taking a cut - not one football federation (including ours) speaking up - no players speaking up - FIFA making the rules up as they go (see Ronaldo) - matchday experience likely to be awful ......I could go on. But it's clear the football world, players, ex players, football federation are laughing at us. I really want to be excited by this tournament, and yes, I am tempted to book up. But I am a man of principle and I refuse to be bent over by FIFA. Don't get me wrong, it is very conflicting and I understand why people are paying ludicrous amounts. I have a 14 yr old son, we've travelled following Scotland, we've shared amazingly memories in Germany, I'm fortunate that I can afford to go, and maybe he's probably expecting tickets in his Christmas stocking 🙈, but I just can't let myself do the morally wrong thingl. I'm sure he'll understand. We'll have a great time watching it in Scotland. Maybe it's a parent thing, maybe it's getting old, maybe I'm just a grumpy b@stard, but how can I teach and preach to my kids about standing up for themselves and sticking to their guns if i go against everything I stand for. Jeez. I appreciate this all sounds super philosophical, but it is what it is. I just wish everyone would stand up for themselves, as someone else said, if we tolerate this..... Quote
bdgsct Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 100% this. I will go but it won't be on FIFA's terms. Stick to your principles. Quote
