Draw for the finals in Australia in two years time...

Pool A - Australia, Hong Kong China, Chile, New Zealand

Pool B - Romania, Georgia, Italy, South Africa

Pool C - Canada, Spain, Fiji, Argentina

Pool D - Portugal, Uruguay, Scotland, Ireland

Pool E - Samoa, USA, Japan, France

Pool F - Zimbabwe, Tonga, Wales, England

I think the way it works out is that unless we can somehow beat Ireland, then we will get France in the round of 16. Wales get Fiji. Why do we always get the though draw?

Indeed. Meanwhile England are unlikely to play New Zealand, France or South Africa until the final 😖

Yes, plus the best four 3rd placed teams. So we should get through no bother but almost definitely get beat in the round of 16.

Looks like their route to the final will be Italy, Australia and Ireland. Australia have been relatively poor recently, hence their low ranking, but they are improving and there is almost two years to go. C'mon the Wallabies.

I still don't understand why they do the draw so early, makes no sense to me.

If we had beaten the Argies would we have been seeded better?

If we'd beaten them by (I think) 21 points we'd have been seeded above them.  I remember the commentators mentioning it just after half time when we were (checks notes) 21 points up!

Thanks, I dont fee quite as bad about it now but I still think Townsend is done

I think we needed to beat them by 16 points but we also needed England to beat them by 16 points. Neither of which happened.

He has to survive another two six nations competitions first. I think he will probably be back in club management by the time of the next WC? Then again, if we were to win the next six nations............... 😉
