What we Say about the boots ! :- Every year, we - Diamonds in the Community and KitAid Scotland - receive thousands of pieces of unwanted football kit that would have ended up in landfill. We are able to sort and store these items, before sending them on to some of the poorest countries in the world. This not only gives the strips a new lease of life, but offers a lifeline to the recipients who would previously have been unable to take part in the beautiful game due to lack of kit.

In many cases, it will also be the only piece of clothing they own.

99.9% of the items we receive are sent overseas. However, last year, we received this pair of belters….a brand new pair of Adidas Speed portal Football boots, emblazoned with the St Andrews Cross (Scotland flag) and McTominay….a tribute to the former Manchester United star Scott McTominay…currently a hero to the Napoli fans where he led them to the league title, and National hero in Scotland after his amazing overhead kick against Denmark was hailed as one of the greatest goal seen at Hampden and the 1^stof 4 goals that saw us heading to the World Cup Finals.

Anyway, rather than send them overseas, we thought we would try to sell these on to raise vital funds for the charity. We’ve waited and waited for the right time to sell them ….and, at spells, completely forgot we had them…..but after that amazing night at Hampden, now seems the right time !

To clarify, we don’t know the full story behind them. We can’t find anything online about them.  Sir McTominay didn’t wear them. And he hasn’t endorsed them. We can't guarantee you will be able to do an overhead kick like him. We can't promise you will havethe same chiselled looks as him. Your hair won't be as perfectly coiffeured as his. Your girlfriend won't be as bonny as his. But if you buy them, you WILL be the owner of a pretty unique item, and also have helped us to be able to send thousands of strips to some of the poorest kids in the world.
