I was pretty confident about getting all 3 games with 11 points. But with apparently SSC only getting 8% im now a bit skeptical, what does everyone think, will 11 be enough?

Yes.

Hope so as my missus is on 11 points.

12% group stages and 8% knockout has been the norm.

This'll go way down, unless folk buy to punt.

If it’s 12% for group matches that should be more than enough for any SSC member who wants one, particularly for the bigger stadiums.

At present around half of our group are planning on going and half say they won’t due to the cost (we all went to Germany). If that’s replicated across the SSC there should be plenty of tickets available.

I think even some guys on very high points will be priced out.

I've no kids so will be able to go but there will be guys who travel everywhere who are going to find it hard to get the money together when they have other commitments.

It's one thing paying £500 for an away trip somewhere for a couple of nights. Its a completely different ball game finding well over £5k for a fortnight in America.

I think a lot of people will do 2 group games. Which if you’re lucky is 6 days.

Yeah I'm not so sure that it will go low. Depends on the grounds as well, our allocation could be 4k on a couple of them. Most though should be around 5-6k at least. It's not the most expensive place to fly to and people find a way.

I'm stressed to f*ck right now until I get the tickets. Was the same before Germany I suppose but then I had 18 points only 12 this time. Every saving counts on a trip like this too, tickets for 3 matches could be 200 or 1000 dollars depending on category, etc. I already booked accommodation in all 12 cities before those prices jump.

Anybody that want's a ticket should get one.The cost of the trip as people have mentioned will even rule out  guys on high points. The money involved here is on a different level to past  world cups in France and Italy.More in line with Mexico 86( although still more expensive). The numbers that managed to go to Mexico were way way smaller than the numbers that went to Italy and France.Going to be a £4000-£5000 layout for this one easily which for large amounts of the tartan army isn't doable.Would need to actually be your username to afford it.😁

Yes.If you were going for the two weeks group matches and attending all Scotland matches then it would surely be £4000 minimum.Probably a lot more.Sure a lot of guys don't have that sort of money .Some obviously do but nowhere near the numbers that followed us to Germany.

I think a lot of the fans will probably be Scots based over there. I'm obviously in the wrong job because I've been reading stories about people booking flights already.

I've mates who live in the states, a mate who lives in Bermuda. All were in Germany and all will be going to WC.

Will be a huge ex pat support.

That makes sense although if the rumours about us getting kept apart from other European group winners is correct then getting tickets for the game against the top seed will be very tough as that will either be one of the hosts or Argentina/Brazil. To do the two games you ideally don't want the top seed game as the second game

That's my plan. First two games ideally then watch the 3rd with my dad etc back in Scotland.

Aye that’s what we’re looking at as well. We would probably prefer to watch our first game at home then fly out for the last 2 but if we get pumped in our first game that flight might not be very enjoyable!

Would be a shame to miss the last game if we finally manage to get out of a group but then we might already be out by then as well.

I'm sure SFA allocation was 10,000 tickets for each of the games in Germany

It was. That was UEFA’s decision though. Hopefully FIFA do something similar but I can’t see it, especially for the  smaller grounds.

I can't see anywhere near the numbers that went to Germany going. That was way easier to get to.

This is going to take some proper planning and internal travelling.

And lots of money unfortunately🤔

Was my plan as well.

However looking at it doing the 1st 2 games could be 6/8 days needed and last 2 games could be 4/5 days needed dependant on which group we are in.

I’ll study the draw and fixtures and go from there.

If the draw is favourable location wise (hoping for Eastern Region) is it worth taking the gamble when the SSC allocation comes out and buy tickets bjt if unable to book decent flights and digs then are you able to give them back to the SFA for resale to other members waiting in the wings?

My social meedja has a large number of “well kent” tartan army faces added to it who have taken great delighted in telling anyone and everyone that they won’t be going anywhere near America. All just because President Donald J. Trump was elected into office

For any game in the States I think we’ll struggle to sell out our allocation based on this

Havnt done much research yet. Which are the ‘smaller’ grounds and what is their capacity? And the ones with larger capacities are?
