I think it is mpst likely that we will host a team already playing in Europe from outside Europe at Hampden. It seems likely that will be Japan on the Friday. Then travel not too far probably to England but maybe France or the Netherlands for a neutral game.

Then I can see Wales at Hampden in late May/June to fulfil the 150th anniversary then somebody in the States pre World Cup

I think Wales will want to play us in their ain midden. It's their anniversary after aw.

Might depend if they make the WC or no.

Realistically I can't see Scotland not wanting to play a pre World Cup home game so it might be the only way to get that Wales anniversary game in.

Forgot about that, they should be wanting to play it up here as their first international was against US at the West of Scotland Cricket Ground and we PUMPED them 4-0!

(Not a lot of people know that, that Scotland, England AND Wales had their first international fitba matches on a cricket ground in Paisley!)

Can't see us playing wales at all.

The two games in June will be a send off game ( most likely Curaçao now as reported) then a friendly over in the USA.

Also the fact that Wales are now incorporating the 2016 squad in their celebrations means probably will want a team in that era they faced.

March games announced?

Nothing from SFA, but Japan have pretty much confirmed they are playing us at Hampden on the Friday night, and latest talk (and probably the most concrete out of all the rumors) is Côte d'Ivoire at Everton on the Monday or Tuesday night (that seems to be the one the press are running with now after all other rumours fizzled away)

Where have Japan said this about the 27th of March?

Their manager let it slip in a interview over the Christmas holidays when talking about their game v England at Wembley, I am sure he said 26th or 27th of March.

Surely it is almost certain to be the 27th the Friday. Playing on the Thursday cutting preparation time right down especially for players travelling some distance.

nearer the time I'll post some tips about where to drink in Liverpool and the transport options for getting to the Hill-Dickinson stadium (its the nearest ground for me)

Iain69, we are looking at going down to Liverpool in the car and parking at the Bootle end of the ground for a quick getaway onto the M62/M6 .
However , did a bit of research and parking looks murder .
Any advice appreciated ,

If you want a quicke back onto the 6 I'd park at Maghull and get the train to Sandhills. After the game get the Sandhills back to Maghull for a quicker exit and then you're straight onto the 58/6 no fuss from there, much better option than trying to traffic out of Vauxhall/Bootle

if you're coming in from north of the city use the M58 - you'll avoid the city centre

There might be matchday parking near Anfield - worth checking

If you're think about the train just change at Preston or Wigan and straight in to Lime St

Sandhills is the nearest station to the ground - about a 10 min walk.

All the roads around the ground are closed, so taxis will drop you about a 10 minute walk away.

Getting away afterwards is slow but pretty organised.

There's a couple of bars near the ground but the city centre is excellent for pubs and food.

These two are my favourites:

If anyone interested I have 3 tickets to the Ivory Coast game. Not looking for anything for them unforeseen circumstances have meant I’ve had to cancel our plans.  X2 adult and x1 child.

Just a recommendation here as an Everton season ticket holder from Dundee (originally) - the Denbigh Castle on Hackins Hey will be a Scotland friendly pub and is about a 25 minute walk to the ground.

Iain69, do you know if all transportation to the ground is running as per Everton home games, I’m planning on taking this bus if running.

919

Liverpool city centre (Commutation Row) -

Hill Dickinson Stadium

Stagecoach

I've never used the bus to get there but this should help https://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/bus/?_gl=1*witou6*_up*MQ..*_ga*ODY1Nzc5MzU2LjE3NzQyOTcwOTg.*_ga_D047HVTSYW*czE3NzQyOTcwOTckbzEkZzAkdDE3NzQyOTcwOTckajYwJGwwJGgw

For the train, get the Northern line from either Central or Moorfields station to Sandhills - it's a 10 minute walk from there.

When I purchased my tickets through SSC for myself and wife

it never game me option to pick seats

Do the tickets get sent out to your home address

cheers in advance

It's an away game so therefore it's not going to allow you to select seats. SFA will allocate your seats for you based on the category you chose.

Will be sent digitally via the Hampden app I would imagine to ensure you get your 2 points when it's scanned through the turnstiles. Don't know when that will be but hopefully before Tuesday.
