Given we’ve won the group at a cantar and qualified directly, two free dates to fill in March… who we fancying for friendly matches?

Can’t see it personally considering we have played them both in recent times

Doubtful March, but for the last two years the Welsh have been speaking about a game against us to celebrate their 150th anniversary next year, and if that is going to happen, you would imagine it will be one of the two June games before the World Cup.

Not a big demand. But if at an easy to get to/cheap-ish destination, folk looking to build their points, so they’re certain they’ll get a ticket for the World Cup, should be looking to go.

Qatar tickets went on sale to qualified nations in April 2022 - 7 months before the tournament started. The draw was 1st April 2022 - England sold theirs to fans on the 11th

If there isn't a ticket sale before the end of December, I'd be very surprised. 

The EUROs went on sale a few days after the draw.

I see there are rumours of Scotland playing Argentina in a friendly in March

Spain play Argentina on 27 March in Qatar in the Finalissimo , hoping that if we play Argentina & not at Hampden, then it will be played somewhere in Europe

Surely we will have an Afrcian & South American team lined up for these friendlies. One at Hampden and one away at a much more warmer climate.

Hoping away friendlies are not expensive trips…. This World Cup trip has cleared me oot & left card maxed i need tae sort & thats before the tickets need sorting😥

I’d be willing to stretch my budget slightly further so that that wasn’t the case. Shite ground and can’t be arsed with the other stuff that goes along with that fixture.

I think any away game will see only a few hundred at most go.

Quite a number of friendlies have been announced this week, and in terms of European teams, even with the play off's and Nations League play off's, its already turning into very slim pickings from the UEFA teams.

Argentina story seems to have been debunked, as the source from South America implied that we were paying for the game in Qatar.

England are playing Uruguay and Japan at Wembley, so you would hope that teh SFA would offer something to Uruguay to make it a double header for them with a game in Gasgow.

So far the following nations have confirmed they are coming to Europe, Uruguay (playing England at Wembley), Japan (also playing England), South Korea (rumored to be playing Austria in Vienna), Ecuador (confirmed to be playing Netherlands).

Brazil, USA and Colombia are all playing games in North America (mostly against Portugal and Belgium)

I think the only home nation we are likely to play between now and the World Cup is Wales in June for their 150th match (their CEO has spent far to much time talking about this being his dream game as far back as 2017 for it not to happen).

Good chance two home games in March, and most likely against two non-European teams, as most the big teams already have their games announced, most the "middle of the road" teams are involved in play off's, and even if we go further down the rankings, a number of smaller teams are involved in Nations League play off's (Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta etc....)

I am doubtful we will plan an away trip to someone in the Balkans in March, and even more doubtful we would agree to sign up to play a losing Play Off team for our second game without knowing who we are playing.
