Not the quality we had 20 or 40 years back. Off the top of my head something like:

Gordon

Mulligan Soutter Hanley Tierney Kingsley

Watson Spencer Barron

Bowie Shankland 

I've probably forgotten someone obvious. If McGregor was not retired I'd include him instead of Spencer. 

I'm sure people can do better than me.

Doesn't Mulligan generally play in midfield? 

Ralston is probably the obvious choice for RB.

Yes he does but he can also play wing back. If it was a flat back four, I'd go for Ralston.

That team is probably there or thereabouts.

The ideal 'squad' might depend on when the supposed 'next match' was - versus Greece?

Goalkeeper could depend on when exactly the match is - and who it's against. 

I wonder about any of the Hearts lads - Halkett?

Also whatever happened to Lyall Cameron?
