marinello Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Have tried calling SFA and emailed them numerous times but no response. Putting it out there to TA . Has anyone heard when we will know how many tickets we are getting and what the points cut off point will be? Quote
Silversand Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 March was 1600 tickets, which would be guaranteed for 21 points. Rumours we're negotiating for more than 1600 tickets, but with the overcrowding problems in the away end in March, will be interesting to see what happens this time round. Quote
thesaint Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 The Sfa should at least let us know what the situation is.If they are trying to get more then good but at least give the supporters a heads up on what is happening. Quote
hamilton wanderer Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 We've been able to buy some tickets from Greeks for the section next to the away section so I'm not sure how they will increase the allocation (I hope I'm wrong). It could just be an outlier but from our bus that goes to home games usually around 6-8 will go to an easy to get to away game. For the Athens game there are 18 booked up! I therefore think demand will be extremely high for SFA tickets. Thankfully the Greeks are out and the strict entry checks for club football in Greece don't apply for internationals so I'm sure that everyone who wants a ticket will get one (just not in our end). dan cake Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Hopefully the Scotland fans in the home end don’t just put into the away end , that’s what caused the utter shambles last time Quote
hamilton wanderer Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Actually sections 28 and 29 (main stand next to the away corner) don't appear to be on sale on any 3rd part sites. Maybe they will be added to our allocation which would increase it by around 1000 or so I think. Quote
thesaint Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 The tickets on sale from Ticketmaster Greece( home end ) must be about due to go on sale. Quote
Easy_1967 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 (edited) One of our lads has the theory that it's less to do with negotiations for a bigger capacity and more to do with the League Cup semi-finals this weekend with all the tickets being on the Hampden app, following it's recent update, and the sheer terror facing the SFA at the prospect of dealing with that & trying to sell Greece tickets at the same time. 😂 I prefer to imagine it's just the negotiations for a bigger capacity. marinello Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Got reply from SFA. They are still awaiting notification from Greek FA re our allocation. Given the game is just over 2 weeks away I suspect we'll know very soon. Quote

thesaint Posted October 30, 2025 Posted October 30, 2025 Would have thought they might have mentioned the latest regarding tickets for the Greece game in the sfa email sent out today.Instead of all the nonsense they fill them with.Surely not too much to ask considering the game is only two weeks away. Agree email full of absolute nonsense, 2 weeks to go, but they are fine as the elite crew know they will get their tickets as usual, rightly so, but don’t disregard the other punters who pay their dues too for the same membership, it’s not just about the boys club who go away for the pertyyyyyy! Yes.So little consideration given to members who might be borderline regarding getting tickets and would have liked a heads up on what the situation is regarding maybe getting an increased allocation of tickets for this one. They seem to think it's just a case of being able to get booked up at the last minute no problem.Although it's more likely that they just don't care. Two weeks to the match and not a peep out of them about what the situation is . It's also the fact that they will regularly point to their guidance around not booking travel unless you know you've got a ticket, when anyone complains about allocations or criticises the ticketing sales platform. I actually sympathise with the SSC in a lot of those situations (particularly given they don't exactly have control over away allocations) and, of course, we all know it's guidance that is never followed anyway. But it's hard to see how they can continue to ask fans not to book anything without confirmation of tickets and then give them absolutely zero information almost a fortnight before the game, particularly when sending out update emails anyway, just to at least give the impression that they're trying to keep folk in the loop. When someone inevitably complains about whatever the allocation is because they've booked travel but will likely miss out, the SSC will - as always - point to their guidance that you shouldn't book without a ticket. Despite the fact that the total void of information so soon to the game gives people very little choice anyway. Quote

I think at times they could push for more tickets, not the bigger games, but they seem to just take the first allocation given to them as satisfies the large pointers, which I jest above these guys deserve their tickets, but others at the borderline points and the money shell out for the membership over the years, they could put a bit more effort in, usual Scottish football treating the supporters as a cash cow. thesaint Posted October 31, 2025 Posted October 31, 2025 You would think that there would be a time limit on Greece having to confirm how many tickets they are giving us.Surely they can't wait until a week or so before the match to let us know. Quote
thesaint Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Surely with less than 2 weeks to go before our game in Greece the Greece fa must have made a decision on how many tickets we are being allocated. What reason is there for them to be keeping us waiting so long.Ridiculous. Quote
Barney Rubble Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 The absence of any updates - or even attempts to produce holding updates - cannot be viewed as meeting the interests of the customer base. They have the revenue from our memberships and the over-inflated '3 competitive games plus 2 meaningless friendlies' packages, so they've already ticked the boxes for the SFA. This is unacceptable even by the SSC's historical standards. Quote
kumnio Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 If the Greeks don’t tell the SFA anything, what do you want the SFA to do? I’m not a big fan of the SSC or SFA by any means, but this simply isn’t their fault. Quote
thesaint Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Was blaming the Greek fa more for not letting us know what our allocation is going to be less than 2 weeks before the game. The thing i blame the sfa for is not at least keeping us updated on the possibilty of us maybe getting a bigger allocation than the last time.Considering the amount of nonsense they send us in their emails you would have thought that they could fine the time to mention where we are at regarding our allocation for an away game in less than two weeks time. kumnio Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Monday update - nae news Tuesday update - nothing to report Wednesday update - still waiting Thursday update - hello Friday update - have a nice weekend folks We will find out this week, some fans will be happy, some will be unhappy. Quote

From_Dundee_to_Ancoats Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 To be fair. I get that you can't do anything if the Greek fa arent letting them know. However a simple email or twitter message to say.. unfortunately we haven't been told our allocation we will notify supporters in due course would be sensible 2 weeks before. It's not just about the tickets. It's the sales schedule and having to rearrange meetings to comply with a 2 hour window with a day's notice that will no doubt be this week. Quote

Aye,but a heads up on how the talks were going would have been appreciated .If they suddenly say were getting twice as many tickets as the last time a week or so before the game presumes that anybody who would be interested in going could just suddenly book up flights, hotels and ,change work commitments at the drop of a hat.Good amount of cash coming in to them from our membership fees so a bit of communication ( on things that actually matter ) shouldn't be too much to ask.Surely.?
