For anyone interested, a local Derby will be live on BBC Scotland on Friday. Auchinleck v Cumnock

Definitely interested in this one. The hatred between these two clubs is right off the scale!  Wonder why it's so much more intense than most other local rivalries?

Ive heard its a spicy affair so I am looking forward to it.

Is it just a local divide or is there more to it?......like protestant v Catholic?

Good article here - https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/15384295/scottish-football-rivalry-cup-rangers-celtic-auchinleck-cumnock/

Dawn raids by the polis after one game FFS!  Pretty sure religion has nowt to do with it though.  Just think how bad it'd be if you threw that into the mix as well!  🤣

Nothing to do with religion just hate each other. I've worked with a few boys from both sides over the years and they just don't get on 😂

Auchinleck Talbot v Cumnock Juniours was a bloody good watch as a game - compare and contrast with that impostor of a local derby served up at Ibrox the other week.

But not only that, it was so refreshing to hear Kris Doolan (from Auchinleck) and Billy Dodds (from New Cumnock) talk with direct experience and deep knowledge about the significance of these fixtures on the local communities.

Who would've known there is a world of football outside the EPL and Old firm

Says on the SFA website page that the draw is at 6pm.

Some draw for Auchinleck.

I wonder where they will play it, Somerset or Rugby Park would make sense.

Hopefully keep it at Beechwood.

Depends on their finances I guess.

I think their ground holds about 4k so it’s definitely doable.

Actually I thought the opposite.  Looks quite a tame draw tbf.  But, that just means the next round will be better.

If the next round is better, it will be partly because of the tasty ties in this round.

Three premiership pairings, meaning three of those knocked out and room for lower division sides.

Two juniors sides with home ties. Hibs away to Neil Lennon's Dunfermline.

Kelty and Spartans games will mean at least two League One (or lower) sides through.

Plus Camelon Elgin will see at least one 4th+ tier side in the draw.

Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic has the romance (if that's the right word) of the cup?...

Talbot moving their tie to Rugby Park

If their stadium isn’t able to host a tie then they shouldn’t be in the competition. There was no issue when they played Hearts a few years ago

We all know it’s been moved because the GB couldn’t be trusted not to storm the ground.

Talbot fans should boycott the game and let Celtic have the whole stadium, that’s all that everyone wants, they’re just a sideshow that will earn a few quid off of it.

And guaranteed to be on tv, mind you the way Celtic are playing could hopefully see another Darvel, now that would be hilarious 🙏🙏🙏
