At least you've noticed him. I'm not sure I noticed the lad he replaced.

He replaced the lad, McGunnigle, who plays in Hong Kong, who looked totally out of his depth in the first half. I didn’t watch the second half

In that case I did notice him. I agree with your assessment. It was his debut and hopefully he'll have better games.

England lost 1 nil to Lithuania at home.

Must be quite a poor bunch of players England have at this age group.

Usually they have loads of top talents at youth level.

Could be a straight fight between us and England for that second spot.

England are definitely out.  The game against Lithuania is a winner-takes-all all between them and us.

I wonder what would happen if it was a draw... 🤔

So I take it theres only 3 games getting played?

Thought there would be home and away ties.

There’s a few English players not in the squad but who are still eligible. Dowman at Arsenal and the lad Rio at Liverpool both played for their respective first teams this week but are both still under 17. Saying that losing to Lithuania at that level is unbelievable

All the games are being played in Scotland. One off

I don't think they should be losing to us either. England will have a huge pool of young talent at that age group.

Oh well, so we just need a victory v Lithuania to progress.

Should be easy enough😀

If it's a draw, we're tied on points, goal difference, and goals scored, so it will come down to disciplinary points.  They've picked up 6 yellows to date; we've picked up 5.

I read somewhere that it is an effectively a C squad that England put out. There are supposedly others at various tournaments.

Thats interesting. Kind of takes the shine off our win lol.

Saying that it's still a good result against what will be some very decent young players.

Yeah, from the bits I've seen there was a good speed about them. Not sure what happened  in Sweden.

On the other hand they did have a lad who was recently on the bench for Chelsea when they were playing Ajax in Europe.

To be fair are we missing a number of lads that could be called up, pretty sure we are missing Callan Hamill, Aiden Mccallion, Rydn McGuire, Ally Graham noticed James Overy started for Man United u21s in the national cup......all them list3d are doing well or highly rated.

England are playing in U17 World Cup finals tournament starting this coming week but most if not all of these players are now too old for the current U17 Euros. They qualified from last years U17 Euros.

3-0 now. Hard to see us losing this. No idea how Lithuania managed to beat England. They look a poor side.

Agreed. Hat trick for Cadamerteri on which I think is his 16th birthday. Played very well but as you say, Lithuania look useless

Really good so far. Let's hope Cadamateri continues to progress and sticks with us.

Slightly amazed to discover he was born in Cupar. Had forgotten that his dad had a spell with Dundee United!
