bdgsct Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 Strange to see Liverpool overhauling thier forward line after winning the league. Nunez, Doak and Elliot linked with moves. I think for game time Doak should move. Quote
Tartan blood Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 Hearts starting with 6 Scots and brought 2 on off the bench. That probably would have been a record last season for any team! Quote

He impressed yesterday but we saw where he was in the pecking order playing for (effectively) the reserves. He deserves and needs more. Quote

I think Flashscores starts a player on -2 if there's a Saltire next to his name🙄 Yeh I noticed that as well. I think his rating was 6.2. Quote

I think dalglish had a few nominations during that decade. Came 2nd or 3rd one year but was never going to beat platini. I think it was 83 and Strachan also came 4th that year. Quote

It remains to be seen whether Clark will continue to be our No 1 keeper, and Forrest’s first team chances will be limited once our new wingers bed in. But Halkett, Findlay, Milne and Shankland look likely to start most games, and Wilson will get game time off the bench. We were also linked with Lewis Mayo recently, but he plays mostly CB and RB is where we are light (Forrester is meant to be going to St J on loan). Quote

exile Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 Have there been any non-Scots, playing in Scottish premier league, nominated since then? Quote

exile Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 Well I looked it up and you (we) were correct - Laudrup and Larsson (Larsson also won the 'golden shoe' in 2001). It seems there were several others who played here, but only one who was nominated while actually playing in Scotland - Theo Snelders. It seems there was a raft of Rangers players who were nominated only before they joined Rangers, and in one case (Gattuso), afterwards. Quote
