Hertsscot Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Anyone else watching? Great match just finished with Boulter beating Badosa, the ninth seed. Quite like Boulter, comes across well. Unfortunately Fearnley's out beaten by an up coming Brazilian.

Medvedev, zverev and guff all out already, alcaraz need 5 sets to get through too.
Hertsscot Posted July 2, 2025 Author Posted July 2, 2025 Nice to see Cameron Norrie advance through to the next round.

She played well and she can take a lot of positives from that performance. Sabalenka is a slight step above most this year On another note I had a look at how much andy murray won during his career. Its phenomenal considering who he had to compete with.

I find the interviews straight afterwards a bit awkward though...especially when they're like "ooooh what about Raducanu eh eh". It feels like they might start asking how great the British strawberries are next 🙄🤣 Yes there's always someone ready to talk down Murray compared to the other 3 but his achievements are worth celebrating.

Even today when the presenters and commentators were discussing yhe previous day, they were raving about raducanu, she lost.
Hertsscot Posted July 6, 2025 Author Posted July 6, 2025 Great match between Kartal and her Russian opponent. Kartal will have learnt a lot from the experience, second to none in terms of her athleticism.
AlfieMoon Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 (edited) Late to the thread but been watching a fair bit of the action this year. Some great tennis on show. Raducanu-Sabalenka was top notch the other night. Was glad that Pavlyuchenkova beat Kartal earlier after the horrendous umpire / line call decision she was on the receiving end of. Would have been a shame if she’s gone to pieces after that. Rublev taking the first set against Alcaraz could have been entertaining. I like Rublev but he seems to lack a bit of belief to achieve at the top end. Reckon Alcaraz will take it in 4 sets now it’s 1-1. We often go to Wimbers but missing it again this year after having opted to go to Queens a few weeks ago instead. Suffering the FOMO now. 😩 Edited July 6, 2025 by AlfieMoon

Missed the start so didn't realise that Sinner had fallen and had a sore one too. They still had to get that court interview in though 🫣

Anabelle Croft asked Swiatek if she had a favourite court chair 😆 🤣 😂
Fairbairn Posted July 8, 2025 Posted July 8, 2025 Taylor Fritz is quietly going about his business in the men's draw. Could see him doing well.

Just a bit of spark about them. Prefer that to the more polished machine types if that makes sense. Plenty of skidding about in each match!
AlfieMoon Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 I’ve got a feeling Sinner will win it but it’ll be a fascinating final if it’s him v Alcaraz again after Paris. Realistically, from the final 4 this year I think anything is possible. Semi finals should be great on Friday.
