Could be a tough test if Brora kept the players from last season. They did well to pip Brechin to League championship. Enjoy your trip. Quote
Ally Bongo Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 Accies humped by Hearts at Broadwood stadium as New Douglas Park sits empty Hamilton Accies Women who are continuing to play at NDP have been told by Hamilton Accies FC to change their name and stop any connection to the men's team An absolute shambles Quote
Diamond Scot Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Airdrie making our usual strong start to the season / league cup. If the season ended in August every year we would do just fine. Quote

I take it you'd advise against that? Quote

morrie21 Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 For League One, Accies might have the strongest squad of players, but will that be enough to overcome the off-field turmoil? Inverness and Queen of the South will probably be up there this year also - this is based on what I saw last season when Stenny were playing them. Bear in mind Inverness begin on -5 points due to last season's administration. Quote

The problem is that the owners of New Douglas Park are no longer the owners of Accies FC I believe the new owners of Accies FC want fuck all to do with the previous owners as they are corrupt as fuck The new owners want to build a new stadium in Hamilton along with big investments - which in my mind is right out the playbook of Craig Whyte And that leaves New Douglas Park which is now being referred to as a "community stadium" A shambles Quote
EddardStark Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 The board of directors at Dundee must dislike their fans intensely. Appointing Pressley is a hard sell. Quote

Every now and then a club appoint a manager that goes beyond just an unpopular appointment into the completely baffling. It was hard to understand at the time and looks like its going exactly the way most ppl thought it would. I think he will be gone by mid sept. Quote

Pressley had been out of the management game for years, and his record the last time he was in it wasn't exactly great. At the time he was appointed there were plenty of other out of work coaches who had been employed more recently and had arguably been more successful. I don't think Tony Docherty deserved the sack in the first place but that's just my opinion. Quote
