Just thought I'd open up a thread on completed transfers. Please feel free to update this.

Glenn Middleton released by Dundee Utd and off to the mighty Doncaster in the fourth tier of English football.

Jack Mackenzie obviously off to England as well. May not be a bad move as they'd be favourites to move back up though their highly thought of manager has just left.

Im actually gutted at this transfer. Not because it makes celtic stronger but because Tierney is arguably scotlands most talented player, he's untouchable when fully fit and motivated but he's ended up in the Scottish premiership at the leak of his career

Completely understand both why he’s went back and why they’ve signed him but a 5 year contract given his injury history seems mental, especially as I’m guessing he’ll be in big money.

Unveiling him in a chapel will make some staunch people angry too

He is taking a 30,000 pound a week paycut !! It's a great deal for both. If they can keep him relatively out of the treatment table, it's a no brainer for Celtic. When he is fit, he is one of the best left backs in the world !!

The word "if" is doing a lot of heavy lifting though, that's the point.

Aye but apparently that’s for 5 years, he wouldn’t huv gotten the money he’s on now for 5 years so he probably isn’t losing much when it’s averaged out. Moving back will extend his playing career if his game times managed properly but still a fair chance he’ll spend a lot of time in the treatment room.

Good post, I agree with you. It's a gamble, but I think it's worth it. When he is fit, play him in the big games. He has the experience.....

He was reportedly on 110k per week at arsenal,

Are celtic honestly paying an injury prone player £80k per week for five years?

I have no idea VA.. KT is a proper old school player. He had offers in Germany, Italy, and England, with big money. He turned it all down to come back and play for the club he loves... I'm sure he is not on 80 grand a week, Celtic would never pay that.

Injury prone or not, KT will bleed for Celtic, and I love and respect him for that..

Where did you get the information about the pay cut and the offers he turned down?

Several news agencies reported that KT turned down overtures from Everton, Newcastle, Leverkusun & Sevilla.

He will become our highest paid player above McGregor and CCV but there’s now way he’s on 80k as @Big Ramy 1314 says. I’d be surprised if it’s anything north of 45k p/w to be honest.

Ramy said he took a 30k pay cut, hence the assumption he was on 80k.

On form and fit, he will be your best signing years....if.the injuries persist a disaster

None of us have a crystal ball but in terms of signing a player of his quality in his prime years it was a no brainer.

The desperation of huns and some others to see him get injured is quite something.
