EddardStark Posted May 25, 2025 Posted May 25, 2025 (edited) From Scotland Coefficient site Yesterdays result particularly harsh on Hibs route to group stages Rangers opponents in CL2 qualifiers already confirmed as Panathinaikos, Servette or SK Brann. Only 2 teams are guaranteed group stage football. Celtic and Aberdeen Edited May 25, 2025 by EddardStark Quote
Fairbairn Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Rangers drawn against Panathinaikos in Champions League qualifying which is pretty much the worst draw we could have got. Lose that and we’re out of Europe completely. Win and guaranteed at least Europa groups. Quote

exile Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 So who is likely to go furthest this season? If my information is correct, seems that the latest dates that clubs are guaranteed to be involved are*: Dundee United - 31st July (via Conference League second qualifying round second leg) Hibs - 14th August (via Conference League third qualifying round second leg) Rangers - 28th August (via Conference league play-off) Aberdeen - January 2026 (via Conference league group stage) Celtic - January 2026 (via Europa league group stage) * By involved I mean still playing fixtures, even of some of the last games are dead rubber. dan cake Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Hibs play Midgetland away on Thursday expecting a pumping, not because we are bad but they’ve played champions league group stage a couple of times and regularly make the Europa league group stages. Danish cup winners last season and league winners the year before, will just be happy to still be in the tie when we play them at the leith San Siro Quote

Fairbairn Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Rangers v Panathanaikos tonight in the first leg of what could 3 qualifying rounds. This is the only stage that Rangers can drop out of that won't guarantee group stage football of some kind. Bookies have Rangers at 4/6 but I think that's incredibly short given we've only played one proper friendly (where we were rotten for for 45 mins) and only 3 of our new signings look likely to start. In addition, neither of our top 2 scorers from last season, Dessers & Igamane are fit enough to start so looks like it'll be Danilo leading the line until he gets injured. I'm really not sure how I see this going and will happily take a win of any kind. Quote

Just curious. If you were playing Rangers, who likewise may be better on paper, would you not have more confidence you could pull off a 'result'? Especially at the Stadio delle Alpi Arturo? Quote
Ally Bongo Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Tonight's Rangers line up might struggle to give the Lionesses a game ......................... Quote
Big Ramy 1314 Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Honest question. Did Aberdeen qualify for Europe this term with their Scottish Cup win this year?. I was love king at FotMob and only see sevco, Hibs, and Dundee United? Not a piss take, genuine question.... Quote

Would expect the Danes to beat Rangers over two legs tbh. Hibs make no effort at all when they qualify for Europe, no starting pre season earlier or rush to get new players signed before the tie’s are played. Quote
Fairbairn Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 1-0 Rangers after 50 minutes. Been really up against it and 3 excellent saves from Butland kept it at 0-0. Look exactly like a team with no real preseason and then a worldy from young Finlay Curtis breaks the deadlock. Quote

On 50 minutes we were really lucky not to be a couple down but once we got the second we had 2 or 3 good chances to get a third and probably kill off the tie. Quote
