That's correct.   Most recently been playing 'home' games in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, but closed.

I've booked a hotel in Zalaegerszeg anyway..might be worth a wee trip, even if the game is behind closed doors...

Northern Ireland fans have said it is not worth it.

They were told not to book, but hand full went across and were pretty much escorted away from the ground, and they struggled to find a pub to watch the game as local tv was not showing it

Don't see the point of going to a place where you've zero chance of getting into the game.

What's the f*cking point in allowing Belarus to compete, but banning spectators? 

Ban Belarus or allow them to play with spectators in attendance; especially opposition fans.

 

 For the record, I wouldn't have let them compete.

Belarus are not actually serving a ban because of the war in Ukraine (though its clear that they have their finger in that pie), but are currently serving a ban because of the Belarusian Government hijacking a Ryanair flight that was flying over Lithuanian airspace a few years ago and forced it to land in Minsk.

Aye, I remember that flight. Belarussian Government wanted to arrest somebody who was onboard, IIRC.

Apparently when they played Ireland last year the authorities made damn sure no supporters got anywhere near the groud, feedback was that it was shite and to be avoided.

Heard that a few weeks ago, doesn’t really matter where it is if there’s no away fans. I’d be surprised if Lithuanian are keen to host this match tho given Belarus’s links and Putins plans for getting the band back together

Yeah, given most the Belarusian political refugee's are in Lithuania these days (believe that is where the "people's government of Belarus in exile" are based) and with Belarus stance on the war against Ukraine, I find it extremely unlikely that any of the Baltic nations would welcome Belarus.

Aye, sounds like we're not going to be getting into this one, the sanctions were made on a security basis and nothing has changed in that respect. Hope for a change but can't see it.

ATAC have had it confirmed by the SFA that they asked about fans being allowed to attend the game at the recent UEFA conference in Belgrade, and unless Russia's war on Ukraine ends soon, nothing has changed.

Chances are it will not be played in Hungary, as apparently that is where Israel want to play Italy at the same time.
