fraz65
Such a good player that you can't spell his name correctly even after 63 caps.

ger intae them
Think he’d be fringe by time of WC, but he’d have a big part to play in qualifying. Understand his decision but I’d be playing every time I was asked to play. He’s saving himself for definitely winning more titles and cups with Celtic……. I’d be risking it for a biscuit and maybe getting to a WC.
Andy C
A fine servant. For me he'll certainly be missed.

Also I doubt he would be fringe. He's been too good a player for us to be fringe.

I would push for Hayden hackney but if not then I would have Christie or mctominay drop deep. I would also consider Robertson as a defensive midfielder alongside gilmour. I hope Jordan Holsgrove gets game time at Olympiacos this season, as I think he could be a good replacement in McGregor's role.
HighlandScot
McGregor is no great loss, as he has been playing well past his sell-by date. Clarke always plays him regardless of form. With him gone maybe we can revert to genuine midfield pressing instead of going through the motions and pointing.
Caledonian Craig
A bit of a surprise given he is only 31 but I wish him well. Part of the squad that saw us return to major tournaments. Thanks forcthe memories.

If you think that then he's best retiring and enjoy time with his family when the internationals are on. Guy deserves better than the bullshit being thrown at him. He was committed, there's no doubt about that Time for some new blood to come in I think I said it another thread, but McGregor was officially the most negative passer of the ball at the Euros, in terms of backwards passes. Albeit one of those backwards passes was an assist. I wonder if he has a self-awareness that his style is potentially holding us back from progressing into a more attacking team. On the most part, I was a fan of McGregor. But maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise that he has stepped aside, as it's clear Clarke was never going to drop him.
