Ally Bongo
The problem that i can see, and have said before, is that it is the majority of MSPs and the leadership that are destroying the party and they will not be affected by a collapse If you think i'm wrong - who thought this was a good idea ? hampden_loon2878
Thursday everything that the likes of myself and thplinth were warning about comes to a head,,, already you are seeing the idiots that have destroyed the snp bailing out with their rainbow scarfs, the traditional nationalists will need to pick up the peices, hopefully the toxic stuff between nationalists stop when we see the true damage sturgeon has done to the party,,, guys I keep saying this but it’s has been intentionaly wrecked!!! The snp will do well to get 20 seats, depending on how bad it is, swinney may well be forced out,, anything or anyone involved with sturgeon can have no influence in the snp for it move forward

Dave78
2 minutes ago, Ally Bongo said: I saw that tweet yesterday. Campbell is absolutely obsessed with the trans stuff. The Tories and unionist media have weaponised the culture war perfectly against the SNP, and oddballs like Campbell have been recruited as active combatants. Again, the same self-ID laws have existed here in Ireland for years, and nobody gives a fuck. The government that brought it in haven't been divided or paid any political price because the opposition parties haven't weaponised the culture war against them. It's really sad to watch it all unfold from over here
Hertsscot
13 minutes ago, Ally Bongo said: And there we have the whole toxic nature of this debate summed up in two tweets. A politician who appears either completely ignorant of or arrogantly dismissive of the genuine concerns of many women, and a social media commentator who seems to dismiss everyone who's transgender as 'mentally ill narcissists'. Oh, for a bit of compassion and a willingness to listen. Edited June 30 by Hertsscot
exile
Meanwhile, perhaps surprisingly, a recent poll suggests that most people don't have a clear opinion on transgender issues, and if anything trust the SNP more on the issue. Just sayin'...

Streeting has received £170k from private health care companies - they've not done that out of the goodness of their hearts! And do people know how the Welsh NHS is widely seen as the worst performing in the UK with Labour in charge. And yet somehow they are more tired be trusted than SNP! This probably won't help but I will be voting SNP, I would have not voted for SNP if Humza Yousaf was still the first minister as I had no confidence in his abilities or his associaton with the Greens "p.s the scottish greens were not interested in the environment only stuff like men wanting to be wimmin and wimmin wanting to be men". I think there is more to SNP than a greener Scotland but its what they want and part of that is to address the issues around the disgusting nuclear deterents we have on the clyde and a half an hour away from one of our main cities, canny see that happening on the Thames. I think now with John Swinney we have a man who will make the right choices for Scotland and in terms of net zero I think he will address it in a logical safe way that will make our country cleaner, safer and wealthier, making sure redundancies are kept to a minimum. I know he has a keen interest in the fishing industry, fish stocks, Agriculture and some of the issues around Salmon farming that need to be addressed as well as keeping our rivers clean and protected from pollution. It is clear there is a very robust approach to what he calls the climate emergency and it will not be ignored. Keeping children out of poverty, having the best performing A&E's in britain, free prescriptions, free university tuition, protecting the NHS from privatisation are all things that John Swinney cares about. He also will oppose increases in state pension age and will implement a fair migration system. I now have every confidence in him and his party. A confidence that was shattered whilst Humza was there. Ohh and I like his sunglesseeeez Edited just now by bigfathagiz

Ally Bongo
https://archive.is/wmuTN Threat of independence will finally die on fourth of July Brexit and the bungled leadership of Nicola Sturgeon have left the Union stronger than it has been in 300 years Headline writers are struggling for superlatives to apply to the coming Labour victory on Thursday. “Starmergeddon” is already becoming overused. They’ll need even more expressive language to describe the collapse of the Conservative Party, once regarded as the most successful election-winning machine in UK history. But what if I said that this election is about something even more significant still than this epic change of electoral fortunes? Something more important than Labour’s supermajority. How about this: the 2024 general election marks the final removal of an existential threat to the United Kingdom that has hung over it these past 20 years. Scottish independence has been so little debated in this campaign that people have hardly noticed that it’s gone. John Swinney barely mentioned it in the TV debates. Independence is of course, still “page one, line one” of the SNP manifesto, but it hasn’t been promoted with any enthusiasm. That is because the oxygen has gone from the constitutional debate that had raged in Scotland since Alex Salmond finessed his way into Bute House in 2007. Everyone feels it. It’s over.On the doorsteps, folk just don’t want to know.
