Hertsscot Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) If some countries had been more pro-Palestinian maybe the Palestinians would have a state by now or maybe Palestinians living in Israel might be treated better. And maybe if that had happened there would be less hatred of the state of Israel's actions and less chance for some stupid or evil people to think that anti-Semitism is ever acceptable. Idiotic statement from Melanie Phillips. You can be both pro-Palestinian and against anti-Semitism, lots of people are. Edited May 6 by Hertsscot Quote

Saint4805 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) Victimhood is a key component of the Israeli Government's strategy. They commit atrocities in pursuit of expanding their turf and wiping out those who don't belong there and when another group has a pop at them in retaliation they make out like they are the victims and it was the other lot who started it. The current regime is a far right fascist group of violent sickos. Murdering civilians is like a sport to them. Let's face it, the real root cause of antisemitism across the world is the actions of the Israeli Govt. It's not the lack of police presence on the streets in North London. Murdering women, babies, children, journalists, aid workers, health workers. It's no wonder nutters are attacking Jews outside of Israel (which also deserves condemnation) because no country can keep them in check and hold them to international law. Having a broad definition and low bar for what constitutes antisemitism allows them to conflate and shut down criticism. Edited May 6 by Saint4805 Quote
