kumnio Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Immigration at airports, the UK is the only country where it quicker to get through as a non citizen. Why are there queues for UK, plus EU and a handful of other countries always long and winding, yet the rest of world has a small queue and a few people waiting to check their documents. Makes no sense. Quote

The store(scotmid for those of you not from Edinburgh) was selling Stephen’s stuff a few years back but I was disappointed These chain bakers are good to fill a hole at dinner time but you can’t beat a good old fashioned home bakers. Sadly they are few and far between round my way now Quote

I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes getting through borders across the EU but I have on occasion waited over 30 and 45 minutes respectively coming back through Edinburgh airport and once was well over an hour into Stansted For a while they were doing fast track at Edinburgh for £8 Quote

Makes no sense. I came back from Sorrento a few weeks ago and paid 15 quid for the Priority Passport Lanes thing at Glasgow Airport. Think there were 3 flights in at the same time and queue was massive, looked like we'd easily have been an hour in it. Waltzed up to the security lane, straight up to the desk and through in 30 seconds. Worth every penny! We then got to the luggage carousel which broke down and we had to wait 40 minutes for our bags but don't let that detract from the main point!! Quote

I used the fast track at Edinburgh Airport once, it didn't end well. The grumpy cunt at the desk was as ignorant as he could be and had a go at me for being in the wrong line, he then wave motioned to join the big queue. I explained that I had bought the quick pass, which was on display on my phone, that was on his desk along with my passport and he was still going off on one, apparently it was my fault that I didn't say fast pass in the second between me saying Hi and him going off his tits. We argued for a few minutes before he stopped being a cunt, looked at my passport for 2 seconds and let me go. The staff at Edinburgh Airport are 50/50 to be wankers, whereas the Weegies tend to be pretty decent. Quote

Everything about Edinburgh airport is shite, including some but not all of the staff. There’s not much going for it apart from a bigger choice of destinations The best one was a pop up Smiths while the big one was getting done up. I handed the womsm my juice and crisps of whatever else it was I buying and she actually pulled her sleeve over her hand to scan it. Then I gave her a £20 note and you’d have thought I was due her a months rent by the look on her face Quote

exile Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Badly designed software. I was reminded by this (from Scotland v Bolivia) 8 hours ago, Contrarian said: The process of creating an account, loading apps and general messing about was horrendous by the way. I hope you've got an hour spare, or maybe it's just that my IT skills aren't up to snuff and you'll be fine, I hope so. No blame to the SFA here, but Ticketmaster/New York Red Bulls/Sports Illustrated should be ashamed of themselves, IMO. Professional, public-facing software as if written by someone who had never done the thing you're trying to do. Electronic forms, so badly designed that they need a 'training video' to show you how to use. Edited May 28 by exile Quote

Not too keen on a burger inside a cake 😂 They do stovies too 👍As the song goes, I'm in an Empire (biscuit) state of mind... Quote
Wull the Gull Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Is it just me or is anyone else pissed off at the lack of Scotland WC articles on phone sport app's? Yesterday morning I counted 41 stories (mostly English Cricket, Lionesses and England WC chances) before I came to one about Norway complaining Scotland had called off their friendly. Last night I counted 87 on the Sky Sports App before I came to the Norway one again. This morning I gave up. Nothing at all. Quote

Algorithms don't seem to understand that if you like or follow some football stories, it doesn't mean you want all football stories from other countries rammed down your throat, or 'globally popular' clubs, and certainly don't want other 'ball games' indiscriminately. vanderark14 Posted June 11 Posted June 11 The only outlets I follow are the Scottish National team on social media and BBC sport scotland, thats where you get the news on Scotland The rest is tokenism when it comes to Scotland before they head back to the states to talk about Jordan Pickford playing fifa with that fanny, Declan Rice Quote

DoonTheSlope Posted June 30 Posted June 30 When did it become a thing for clubs to make squad announcements about who they’re taking for a preseason kick about against some outback 4th division mob in the Alps? That and “retention” lists Quote
DoonTheSlope Posted yesterday at 06:07 AM Posted yesterday at 06:07 AM In Sainsbury’s at the airport and I couldn’t find any staff members on site. Literally no cunt. No wonder people just walk out without paying for their messages nowadays. That’s another discussion to be had elsewhere though Despite not being employed by Sainsbury’s I eventually through gritted teeth opted to use the self service machines. There’s 4/5 card only terminals and 3 cash & card equivalents. Out of the 3 cash & card terminals one was out of order and the other had a sign saying it was card only Theres this absolute moron in a Ryanair uniform no less at the only working cash & card machine using her phone to pay despite there being 4 or 5 card only tills empty and available I’m stood there at the front of the queue with my tenner in my hand waiting for this absolute arsewipe to pack her stuff away and finish whatever else she was fumbling about with She was nothing but an inconsiderate cunt who should be more mindful of fellow human beings Quote
