There was a time when I enjoyed this mans work. I have his History of Scotland book and enjoyed the series. Now I can’t bare to even look at the book on my shelf. What happened to him?

I've seen him a couple of times since moving up here. First time was at Waverley, he'd just got off the train, went through the ticket barriers, no mask even though they should have been worn at the time.  Kind of sums he up.
