kumnio Posted December 31, 2022 Share Posted December 31, 2022 Im not a big fan or Cristiano Ronaldo, but he does get a hell of a lot of criticism. Anyone that has played for Barca, Man City, Newcastle, PSG and plenty of other teams would equally deserve it surely. He is an egotistical maniac on the pitch, and quite unlikeable IMO, but he just wants to play and win. He is getting paid beyond ridiculous money, who in their right mind would turn it down. I understand the whole opinion that he has more than he could ever spend argument, but not everyone has the same viewpoints. Players aren't the ones who should be under serious attention, its the administrators and decision makers who award tournaments to ridiculous countries that should be. With CR and Messi as ambassadors for Saudi Arabia 2030, the sports washing will continue. But it would be scandalous if the Middle East had another tournament within the next 30 years, I may however change my opinion on that, if some oil money is sent in my direction.
