Passes away aged 80 after battling cancer.

One of my all time favourite actors and one that could portray menace like no other

Keith Jennings in The Omen

Sir Edmund Appleton in The Thirty Nine Steps

John Leslie Stevenson/Jack The Ripper in Time After Time

 John Nau in The Island

Evil in The Time bandits

Master Program in Tron

Also starred in two films about The Titanic

And a multitude of other notable performances

Very sad news.

I met him at a Comic con event a few years ago and got his autograph and brief chat. A lovely bloke and great actor who had a varied and extensive career. He will be sadly missed.

Nice one and a bit jealous

Would have been great to be at some of the talks he did especially with Malcolm McDowell who i imagine will be gutted as well

Another one of these people you just assumed had turned his toes up years ago

Likewise, I'd have guessed he'd either died years ago, or was much older than 80.

Clearly neither of you are fans of The League of Gentlemen or Inside No 9

Edit - Paul Sorvino died today as well which is a week after Paulie Walnuts

Sad times for Mafia characters

Didn’t know the name, Googled him. Immediately recognised him as the guy who slipped the ruby or whatever it was into Jack’s coat to frame him in Titanic.

John Leslie Stevenson (Jack the Ripper) escapes capture in 1893 Victorian London by using the time machine built by his friend H G Wells and travels to 1979 San Francisco where the machine is displayed in a museum

He continues to murder women

Wells is able to follow him and tracks him down
