I agree it is ridiculous, considering one of the 2 is only 10 years old...

you are wasted cleaning out sewers for a living Oracle. With this level of comment you should be a university professor.  How long did it take you to provide the above thesis?

Affectively brainwashed folk - robbing clubs of fans who are not going to see and support their local team

Celtic haven't always filled their own ground. There were a lot of empty seats during regular league games when they didn't have rangers in the league.

That period was probably the best since the 80s when it comes to success. 7 non OF clubs won a trophy

just reading back your earlier post ; along lines of stats show that celtic were competitive .....

is that not a contradiction then ?

the record will show at end of group stages celtic 2 pts - rangers 0 pts

Rangers were in the bottom three out of all the clubs in the champions league for shots at goal, possession and pass accuracy  .No one can deny they were the worst team in this years (or any years?) champions league.

Celtic's end position might have been just as bad but at least they had some amount of attempts at goal, possession and a decent pass success rate. At least they gave their opponents some sort of game. They were to a degree competitive that is all I am saying.

Seems to me that the OF haters have added Celtic and Rangers together and divided by two to show how bad they both are.

I dislike the OF equally, but at least I can be subjective about their performances.

Did Rangers not have a crowd of 1500 against Partick Thistle in the 80's?

Only reason Celtic and Rangers get such big crowds is their season tickets are dirt cheap.

I decided to stew on last night for a bit before posting my gripes and going by the diddy club joyfest that ensued I did right 😂 It happens every time Celtic/Rangers take a hiding in Europe and is perfectly understandable….just don’t expect me to enjoy it when it’s our turn!

Anyway to my irritations from last night

(a) Kyogo - zero goals from 9 clear cut chances, contrast that with 1/2 for Giakoumakis, Ange should have been starting the big man last night

(b) Juranovic - apart from Shakhtar away he has been hopeless. Those ‘in the know’ reckon he’s away for big money in January but I wouldn’t know if that’s right

(c) If Steffanie Fraapart is blazing the trail for women refs God help us, she was hopeless last night and I’m discounting the  penalties from my assessment .

CCV, O’Riley, Jota and Hatate all look like they have potential at this level and I’m happy we had a go but we are going to need a top class DM and others to improve to do better. That said we should have got third in this group but I’m glad we’re out altogether. We’d have been on a hiding to nothing in the Europa after the huns run last season and I don’t agree with the ‘parachute’ anyway!

As much as i ( have always ) hated the old firm ; this is more about a contempt for stats

so we can sum it up as

celtic were shite

rangers were really shite

The Oracle needs to get on to this one.  It is obviously fake news against the GFITW and nothing like George Square.  Ra Cellic fans are legendary.  And don't expect a response from the tall man.  It's all against his angels.  Who UEFA have fined their club 'more than any other' in the last ten years for their terrorist banners.

6087 was the official attendance. For context though it was during a run of rescheduled games due to the big freeze of 1979, and Rangers had lost the league at Celtic Park two nights earlier...
