Seems the deal will be a season long loan with Rangers buying him after that and Bayern having a buy back clause is his contract which all seems a bit convulted. Talks also apparently advancing for Bassey to Ajax. Rangers apparently holding out for £25M but doubt very much we'll get that despite the rumoured interest of a few other clubs. To be fair, Bassey was the standout performer for Rangers in Europe last season and he's only 22. Bags of potential but could easily be a purple patch. Excellent business by is to get that kind of money for a player who, at the start of the season, was on the bench. Took a while but seems we've finally got the hang of this player trading model with c.£40M+ of transfer fees in the last 7 months. Should be enough to keep the lights on for another season hopefully.
