They really need to have a big clear out at BBC Scotland and retire some of these old fools.

I noticed the other day that Kenny "don't mention Jim Traynor !" McIntyre has taken over the main anchor duties. Dear oh dear.

Not that it matters but I won't be bothering with sportsound during.match days from now on. Appointing a rangers fan boy was a big mistake. Macintyre is absolutely awful

The incident with Michael Stewart just confirmed what we've all been thinking for years. The sheer panic in McIntyre's voice when Stewart (correctly) criticised Traynor was something else 😆

I'll miss Richard Gordon, who I always thought was a good, objective fitba journalist and a big Scotland fan too.

Yesterday confirmed it was far too hot for excessive drinking before a game of football.

Stewards were brand new though, escorted me out the ground at 3:20 and let me back in an hour later 🙈

Sunstroke in the North East of Scotland?  Who knew Chris Burke had a TAMB log in!!

In fact, let's hear it again, it was magnificent....

(watch from 02:58)

Michael Stewart issued a public apology to Jim Traynor in May. I think he gets too personal and rarely comprises even in the face of overwhelming facts.

Great wee day out on saturday, cracking away crowd up too considering it's bang slap in middle of school holidays and distance/cost of fuel just now. Just over 700 away fans.

The drunkest Killie support i've seen domestically though i think.....even got to the pub at HT for a pint.

Was disappointed Hibs took their foot of the gas after half time.  Agree its giving Hibs a chance to sharpen up with what is practically a new team.   In saying that Doidge getting a hat trick can only be good for him.

It was brutal, but some more facts have since emerged today.

Apparenty 3/4 a bottle of jaegermeister and treble gins were rapidly disappearing down my throat during the course of the day, alongside 2 pints and 8 cans of various brewdog.

Professional 1st half performance from Aberdeen tonight. Expect it to tail off considerably now in the 2nd, although I hope not.

Would show them more respect by trying to score 10.

I noticed Anthony Stewart was captain tonight, where did he come from?

Them and St Mirren.

St Mirrren fans were getting all giddy pre season too on Twitter.

It’s just been revealed that Hibs played an ineligible player v Morton 😂

This is the same player that they released a statement for at the end of the season thanking him for his time at the club and wishing him well for the future. Only slight problem was that they hadn’t realised he’d played enough games to trigger an automatic extension to his contract!  That’s a couple of spectacular fuck ups involving the one player!!

6 of the 8 groups being won by non-Premiership clubs. Very refreshing to see this. These qualifiers have thrown up some shock results this time around, and placed certain clubs under the microscope for their unprofessional administration practices.

Huge shout-out to Annan, repping League Two proudly by winning their section. Hat tipped!

Speaking of League Two, I have been pleased with Stenny's showings in the competition this year. Like all lower league teams this is treated 50/50 between competitive football and still trying things out for the upcoming league campaign. Good showings all round from us I thought - going into the final fixture at Killie yesterday with a chance to progress was excellent. Alas it wasn't to be but still solid preparation for next Saturday's big kick-off in the league.
