goggs
Can anyone clarify the Covid requirements for entering the Faroe Islands. The UK Government website says: "All UK resident travellers to the Faroe Islands must have a worthy purpose to enter in line with the Danish government’s requirements." Entry requirements - Denmark travel advice - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) The following link indicates UK is "orange" for Denmark and then indicates that we don't need a Covid test before entering Denmark, nor one on arrival if you are fully vaccinated: Entry into Denmark (coronasmitte.dk)
saintsparky
This the guidance on the Faroe Islands website "...It is recommended that travellers to the Faroe Islands test two days prior to departure to the Faroe Islands and two days after arrival to the Faroe Islands. PCR-tests are preferred if possible. Testing in the Faroe Islands is free of charge at the hospital test centre. People are strongly encouraged to be extra careful until the result from their second day test is available...." As a PCR test is not required to enter Denmark, and they are only using the word 'recommended' , I figure we will not need one beforehand. I have booked the free PCR test for Day 2 in Torshavn. We would not have been sold tickets by the Faroes FA, if we needed a worthy purpose to visit... aufc_bawbag
The way I read the guidance is that you don’t need to test upon day 2 when returning to Scotland if double vaccinated, but my reading is you do need to do that if you go to England. clear as mud.
