Diane Abbott? But they didn't get into power. When, if ever, was an extremist hard left party in power in UK? Harold Wilson? Attlee? But we now regard their NHS and social housing as centrist. I take it that the targets are not New Labour on this occasion? Or is it just Nicola Sturgeon? Maybe we need a 'whatever happened to the left' thread, but in politics?
