If he told me I’d probably think he was a dick, if he doesn’t then I definitely think he’s a dick. Mixed up superstar footballer. He'll have been given a heads up that England are monitoring him and then dropped his knickers. Think it's as straight forward as that. We were always his fall back option. syecosse
Norwich Scots U21 player Flynn Clarke has been jailed for 12 months dangerous driving causing a accident on nitrous oxide. Had heard had a decent pre season and went on loan to Dagenham.

With all the noise around 20mph limits in Wales, courts seem to be far too lenient on people driving like idiots. Whether he has any future, who knows. Luke McCormick was an England u21 international who was jailed but still went on to resume a professional career. Didn't Kluivert and Alonso actually cause accidents where there were fatalities? csinclair
Thought last season McKenna seemed to be improving but against Burnley tonight looked like he's gone backwards. Made one or two good blocks but otherwise looked a bit cumbersome and easily caught out by any kind of pace.

Whereas he was impressive V Chelsea (I think it was) in their last game getting MoM on BBC website.

Very lucky not to have cost them a goal (he should have too; VAR dug him out of a massive hole).
Caledonian Craig
Ben Doak not in the Liverpool U-21 team for their EFL Trophy match tonight away to Morecambe. It can only mean he will be part of Liverpool's Europa League squad for their first match on Thursday night.

Big 2 or 3 weeks for him coming potentially - 2 europa league games plus a league cup fixture against Leicester. Could possibly define his season depending on how these go. If we cap him before November, he'll be the first 17 year old to do so for Scotland.

He's about 28 and a couple of our squad players are the wrong side of thirty. We don't really have much depth in central defence. Couple of injuries and he won't be far of a call up. theabsentee
I'll have my say about Lindsay again even though it's mainly from reading fans opinions, I've seen him live but only thru beer tinted glasses from the PNE away end . Overall he seems to be a strong defender but seriously limited with the ball so reckon the only way Clarke would chance him would be in the centre of a 3. He is only 27 so you never know he could perhaps long term replace Hanley but as we all know we have a few established alternatives for that central role so unless there's a injury crises I just don't see a window for Lindsay to get in. I guess also Hyam was in the last squad right? I expect due to being more technically solid he will stay in or around the squad for a year or 2 & hopefully over that time some younger better quality options will emerge to replace the older/veterans like Hanley, Cooper & Hyam. I'm just saying from reading about him on the Barnsley & Stoke forums there was too many fans say consistently how poor his distribution was . That's a fair assessment of Lindsay. He's a good defender - he can tackle and he can head the ball - but his distribution isn't good enough for international football and he also lacks pace. Put it this way, he and Jack Hendry were in the Thistle team at the same time and it was Hendry who got snapped up at the first opportunity, despite Lindsay having more games under his belt. He's a good, solid Championship centre-half, but that's his ceiling, I reckon.
