I think just being quiet and moving along would have been a more sensible action.

Call me mad, but getting battered by polis over a daft fitba match really is not on my list of things to do before I die.

Even after they’ve beaten a family along a road including two young girls who clearly didn’t understand what they were demanding? After they beat an old man to the ground who walked towards them arms outstretched asking what it was they needed?

There was no problem until two vans appeared opposite the pubs and after a short time specialist cops emerged to antagonise people for nothing. Yes people reacted but are we supposed to allow cops to knock fuck out of people just because they are cops? Not where I come from!

It’s not a version, it’s what happened. I had an important meeting at work when I got back so wasn’t caning it. I had literally had 4 pints when that kicked off. One of our company lived in Valencia and he told us later that the hooligan unit were basically drumming up business and had used the excuse of the odd punter straying beyond the perimeter of the pub and a couple of people on the road to attack.

The Spanish police are by far the worst in Europe. Always issues with them. See in the past also as reference Rangers in Osasuna, Aberdeen in Madrid and Celtic in Vigo.

The eurobam / big game hunter element of the Rangers support are in for a rude awakening if they think they can take the piss over there with their behaviour.

That’s not what happened. Tell me if provoked and attacked by a foreign police unit or any established force of authority is it our duty to take a doing?

Are you talking about Barcelona in 1972?

It will be a combination of Eintracht Frankfurt hooligans and the Spanish Police Rangers Fans will be up against

If they think this will be something like taking over George Square they will be in for a rude awakening

My cousin is going without a ticket

Have told him he is a dick

I know about half a dozen people going and all, at the moment, are ticketless which I think is bonkers.  One in particular is going on a helluva a journey to get there, including a 7 hour each way drive once he gets to Spain, just to watch it in a park somewhere.  You couldn't pay me to go without a ticket.

Me and my son will be going to a pub in Derby to watch it along with a number of Rangers fans.

I'll either be in a boozer in town or, more likely, round to one of my mates for a BBQ in the afternoon and then a bunch of us will watch the game there.  Food, cold beers and appropriate number of toilets all taken care of! (Although if his TV breaks I will set fire to his couch and tan his conservatory windows).

I was in Manchester in 2008 but had a ticket.  It was only a three hour drive up for me and I have relatives there so I stayed with them which meant it was a reasonably easy trip.  Even so, I wouldn't have gone if I didn't have a ticket or at least a decent chance of getting one.

Next week, I'll most likely watch the game in a pub locally with some mates, but that's largely because it's also my birthday and I can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.  Otherwise, I'd probably just watch it at home.

And you'd be totally justified if you did 😂

We drove down on the morning of the game with only 1 out of about 10 of us with a ticket.  A drunk driver smashed in to the back of us and drove off near Salford so we then spent something ridiculous like 2 hours in a police station while my mate sorted it all out for his insurance.

Got to Manchester way later than intended and by that time couldn't get near a boozer.  Queued for about another 90 minutes in a shop to buy some beers and ended up buying them from a guy who pulled up in a transit van outside and started flogging crates for God knows what price.  Couldn't get in anywhere to get food and eventually ended up at Piccadilly Gardens.  We're all a few beers down by this point and there were no toilets anywhere to be seen.  We had any apartment nearby so when the screens went off and it started to get a bit grumbly we decided to just go back to the apartment to watch it there.  Got back to discover the TV wasn't working properly so we ended going all the way down there to watch it huddled round a 32 inch TV with a pish reception.

Thankfully missed all the trouble but it was a complete waste of a journey and then took something like 6 hours to get back the next day as the motorways were rammed.

Rangers are going to win the Europa League IMO. Van Brockhurst won't under estimate frankfurt.

Positives - I guess it makes Scottish football look slightly better.

Negatives -

very little Scottish players on show

Rangers go straight into the groups of the CL which will increase the gap in the domestic league. Then again there is no appetite to close the already enormous gap so it doesn't really matter

Their fans will be unbearable and win or lose will likely trash seville.

At least the celtic fans will be spewing because winning th europa will dwarf anything celtic have done for decades.

A bit of bear vs. bear action being reported already.

Fans of a certain club are setting up fake accounts and reporting trouble with photos of trouble from other hooligans at another time/place

You have to be careful as i found out yesterday

However the fanny that abused Iona Skye which let to a pile on was the same guy that was removed from a Ryanair flight by police for presumably being too drunk

There is a danger that many will think Rangers are favourites as they have dispatched Dortmund and Leipzig which i think could be their downfall

Lets not forget Rangers have carried a lot of luck in the tournament along with some excellent performances and who would have thought they would get this far without Morelos

Only thing I’m seeing so far is 5 Frankfurt fans arrested when a group of them attempted to attack a group of Rangers supporters.
